I've really warmed to The Karate Kid Part II. To be fair, I've never disliked the movie but I always found it to be the least interesting of the three Macchio movies. These days I think it's on par with the original film and actually has better direction and cinematography than the first. I also love the exotic location of Okinawa as the setting and also the focus on various different cultures. True, there's not as much action as in the other Karate Kid films but the storm is a particular highlight of the movie and I don't mind the fight too much at the end even if it doesn't last very long. And of course the film has one of the greatest love songs ever "Glory of Love" by Peter Cetera. All in all, it's a pretty solid sequel with Ralph Macchio giving his best performance as Daniel. Just a shame Elisabeth Shue isn't in it, but Kumiko is nice enough.

The Rise of Skywalker. It's impossible to really take seriously, but as a sci-fi quest type thing (like Keys of Marinus), it's quite entertaining and moves along at a steady pace.
