Which Doctor Who forum/s were you last on before you cluelessly ended up in this backwater shithole and which ones did you think were the most fun?

All except for 3. DWWorld, Cult TV, and Redux. The latter one probably because Cartoon Girl and I were not exactly best of friends, when I used to be Zeg on LM. The others I've had accounts on, but some only for a short while because I was either banned or left because it wasn't for me. The main ones for me, where I spent at least a year or two, (whilst they lasted), were: BBCi (my first DW board, from May 2002) Planet Skaro DW 2005/6 Logopolis Metropolis The Leisure Hive/The Hive

There was a time when everybody and his dog were trying to run their own forums from the same pool of regular posters from DW2005/6 and LM. There were so many, I can't even remember them all, apart from Thascalos and Duncan's virtual cup of tea forum. 😂

It had almost as much actual Doctor Who discussion to be found on there as The Doctors Den with all the wibble threads.

Does anyone remember a forum(whose name escapes me) which was supposed to be the successor to DW2005 where they wanted you to sign up to this 5 page "charter" of rules in the attempt to stop things being so chaotic, but once they got the forum running, all they did was take motions over the rules and argue about them?
Can't remember the name of it.

This one, NuHive and the current Hive. I've not heard good things about the other ones and I don't think I would get away with half of what I talk about on another forum.

Well the best fan forums I've been a part of are the Buffy Boards and the Amy Winehouse fan forum.
Both brilliant forums, though the Amy one is quite sad as they tend to focus on the bad stuff in her life. I understand it can be hard not to when you have someone who passed away so tragically young, but still it can get very depressing at times. I think that's a very British thing to do, focus on all the negatives. DW fans are similar except they are far more neurotic LOL.
As for DW forums well Gallifrey Base is one of the worst forums I've ever been on. It's a racist, intolerant, hypocritical, bigoted, fanatical den of bullies who smear people, dogpile on them and then have the cheek to ban those they abuse for bad behaviour.
Also Jon Blum is the patron saint of self loathing fanboys. People like him have done more harm to DW than anyone else.
I'll try and find the list of ridiculous insults hurled at me for daring to have opinions about Jodie on GB. I'm not sure if I posted it on Archive or on my blog. They are hysterical.
The only good thing about GB is that whilst sadly they may hold all the power in DW fandom, to other fandoms they look like total freaks. I posted just a fraction of the things they said to me on the Buffy boards and they were all shocked.
Planet Skaro meanwhile are total c*nts. One of them insulted me calling me "worlds angriest scot" who needed therapy because I posted a link to an interview one of them had posted. After I explained my opinions, he blocked me and sent me a message calling me a stupid prick.
DW reddit meanwhile aren't nasty, but they censor anything critical of the revival and post stupid things like "Missy channelled Delgado." I don't have time for anyone that says anything like that. Sorry.
Planet Mondas meanwhile is good fun, but even then you don't have quite the freedom we have here.
The best proper Doctor Who forum meanwhile is probably Doctor Who Online. I can't imagine many people here would like it, as it's very New Who friendly, but it's not nasty. That's clearly the good side of New Who fandom. It's quite pleasant, tolerant of other opinions and very open minded.
Never been on Ian Levine's forum. Is it still open? Me and him get along very well, the few times we have interacted, but I can believe that he would be very authoritarian to those who disagree LOL.

GB is actually terrifying. The mental health problems of 90% (at minimum) of the posters there would keep an army of psychiatrists busy for decades.

NuHive, Classic Hive and this. I have done a brief stint on Planet Mondas basically just a dumping ground for my old episode reviews but whilst a nice place and meeting some alright folk (Burrun/Joeseph and IanK), it feels somewhat more conservative and big for my taste and lacks the personable, smaller community and chance to interact with fans either likeminded or with interesting opinions like here. GB are demented, not an new enlightening insight but still the likes of Omie, Jon Blum, Pmount and Dalekjim would make any git lose interest in online fandom completely in fear of being associated with them.

I generally don't like Doctor Who fans. After I was abused and then accused of saying things I didn't by a group of Who fans on my old facebook page I don't think I ever want to interact with any fans outside of the Hive again.

View Attachment Can I just say how much I love that Paul Cornell picture. I'm going to use that in the future.

Sorry I meant to post this one.
The first one is I think just someone singing it on their own and I wouldn't want to single one person out.
This is the one I meant to post. I'm sure the people involved were just having fun, but given how cultish guys like Paul Cornell want the fandom to be at least, and given how cultish the likes of GB are. Seeing everyone singing together can't help but make me think of the Family.
I would have edited it, but ugh you can't edit out videos.
