I couldn't take North QLD anymore, too damn hot, and couldn't afford to go back to SA where I used to live, so... We'll see how things go, I have dual citizenship so I can always change my mind again. One black mark I will say... UK can't make Iced Coffees to save their f*cking lives.

Oh, I love the iced coffees here. It depends on the ones you get. Arctic Coffee are a good brand.

Finally managed to sign up for Netflix UK. It was refusing to let me do it for some reason last week, freaking out at my Paypal account being connected to an Aus bank account (even though no one else has been bothered). But for some reason I tried again today and it worked. I mean jeez, at least I can watch the Star Treks various other things now! Still can't get my head around the fact that you chose to go back. Some people will do anything to get the BluRay Collections a bit earlier? 😉😉😁 There are some really nice places in the UK. Jenna Coleman's bedroom, for instance

Well you obviously have things sussed, and I'm sure you have friends and connections where you are otherwise you wouldn't have gone back. I'm sure there are still some great places in the UK, but I didn't get a good overall impression when I visited in Feb. To be honest, I couldn't wait to get back to Melbourne.

I think some towns are losing their colour. Where I live there's a bunch of boarded up shops that always seem to remain empty along with half a dozen "tech" stores and about thirty fast food places. How many McDonalds do we really need in the UK, let alone Colchester? There's five here. I think once HMV goes I won't go to town anymore. It can be quite depressing.

You haven't lived till you've had an Oak Iced Coffee, Maxil. I may have to go back just for them.

Norcon is incredible this year. Colin Baker, Terry Molloy, Chris Barrie, Danny John-Jules, Robert Llewellyn, Annette Badland (Margaret the Slitheen) and Tom Bennett who is famous for House of Dragons but played one of Lister's worshippers in The Promised Land. Already booked tickets to have a photoshoot done with all three main Red Dwarf actors together.

Stonebaked sweet chilli chicken pizza from Iceland. Bloody delicious, Better than the 'proper' one I had delivered a few weeks back for 10 times the cost...

Went for another long wander, in the opposite direction to where I've been before. Found an Aldi, much better than the Sainsbury's and Co-ops round here which were rather small and grotty. The Aldi wqs a proper large bright supermarket! That being said I think it's too far for a full shop and I'll stick to deliveries. On a hill which is fine going down but less fine coming back up and that was just carrying one milk, I can only imagine trying to traipse up loaded with shopping! I am walking waaaaaay further than I was in Aussieland, though, just cause it's not hot. I could barely go to the corner shop there without being soaked in sweat and knackered for the rest of the day. It's much easier and less exhausting here!

I have a Sainsbury's about ten minutes from me. It's good for convenience, but you can't do a proper shop there because it's far too small. I find Co-op expensive so I just go to Tesco. They've changed it all around though so I spend half my time walking up and down the shop looking confused. Leave things where they are! Aldi is nice but I always get it confused with Lidl.

Arranged for a milk delivery three times a week from a proper milkman. Proper glass bottles too. The nostalgia!
