I guess I'm the smartest person here if that's the case

I don't know if this is correct and I'm not going to be pretentious about it, but I have heard this elsewhere too.

Nah, this is fundamentally flawed because it presupposes that those enjoying trashy movies are also watching good stuff, which is by no means necessarily the case, otherwise all nuwho fans would be geniuses.

As Harlan Ellison once said "It would be fine if the people watching Starsky and Hutch then went and read Kafka, but they don't...!"

Honestly, to state that watching garbage makes you more intelligent makes about as much sense as suggesting that eating garbage makes you healthy.

What a fascinatingly contradictory statement.
