The 70s for me.

90s for both film and television.
Even though there was no Doctor Who (which is still better situation for the show than most of the 10s and 20s) American sitcoms were at their peak with Frasier, Friends, Seinfeld, and animation was in its golden age, Batman TAS, Spider-Man TAS, Superman TAS, Gargoyles, The Simpsons, Rugrats, South Park, Beavis and Butthead etc.
In Britain meanwhile sci fi was sadly dead thanks to the c*nts who ran the Beeb, but British tv still thrived in terms of sitcoms. Bottom, Father Ted, Red Dwarf, Ab Fab, Mr Bean etc.
Films meanwhile had Jurassic Park, T2, Mars Attacks, Batman Returns, etc.
The 70s had lots of great British sci fi series, and some great dramas like I Claudius, but then so did the 90s. Buffy, Xena, Charmed, Babylon 5. Whilst the UK may not have been up to much in the 90s in regards to genre tv, American tv more than made up for it. (You could argue that the same was true in reverse during the 70s with there not being much in the way of American genre tv in the 70s, certainly compared to the 60s.)
Other than the Goodies however I find a lot of comedy in the 70s in both the US and the UK boring. Sorry it just doesn't do it for me. Films meanwhile were all around great during that decade, with horror in particular enjoying a golden age and music was vastly superior throughout the 70s than in the 90s.
Still overall I think that the 90s has a slight edge and its great entertainment was more varied.

The 70s for the following reasons:
Doctor Who was on TV (OK, I don't care for Hinchcliffe but I like the Williams era) Abba (I love their music and Agnetha Fältskog was stunning) The actresses and singers were more beautiful mainly down to the clothes and hair being better Golden age of Bond. Bond was crap in the 90s. Richard Donner's Superman Blake's 7
I like the 90s for a handful of films, some good albums and I enjoy the style of the decade. It's probably my third favourite decade. British comedy was incredible in the 90s for shows like H&P, Chucklevision and Mr.Bean. You also had the Simpsons over seas which was excellent stuff. The Cable Guy is also my favourite comedy film of all time. I enjoy the action movies of the time too like Under Siege and Assassins. I also like NES III and Batman Returns when it comes to sequels.

Yeah, I have to give it to the 90s. Golden age of US TV it was, and while movies weren't quite on par with the 80s it was still the last great decade for them.

90s had some bombshells to be fair. Anna Nicole Smith, Erika Eleniak, Alicia Silverstone, Denise Richards.. all very sexy.

The 70s for music and sci-fi/fantasy/horror TV. The 90s for cinema, comedy and the golden age of 2D gaming.

I've changed my vote to the 90s because it has Neverending Story III and RoboCop 3 and the 70s doesn't.
