I like City of Death, but Horns of Nimon is so much better to me. It's a lot of fun and I love the over the top acting and the design of the Nimons themselves. Lalla also looks incredible in that outfit and gloves! I'm not the biggest fan of Dudley's music around this point, but I enjoy the score he composed for this one. Janet Ellis is also pretty cute as character Tikka Masala. Tom is at his best too and a world away from the moody prat in Pyramids of Shite.

No. Nimon is great and underrated but City is miles better.

Nimon is a highly amusing guilty pleasure, and if I'm quite honest, infinitely preferable to something like Invasion of Time, in that it doesn't waste anywhere near as much potential. It's far from being the low point of the era that so many deem it as, in that it doesn't have lofty ambitions and isn't pretending to be anything other than it is, and it's brilliant for a laugh.
However, City of Death is gorgeous. From dialogue ("That's one of the greatest treasures of the universe, and you say "Quite Good"?!", "I say, what a wonderful butler, he's so violent!"), to direction, to script, to score (possible Simpson's most iconic for the series), it nary puts a foot wrong.
