I'm having trouble sleeping, myself. In an effort to reverse my Christmas kilos, I am abstaining from the following for this month: - Bread - Pizza and focaccia - Cookies/biscuits - Chocolate - Burgers, pies, hotdogs and fries - Ice cream - Nearly all sugar (fruit excepted, along with some mostly unavoidable ones like hidden sugars in juice, or milk in sugarless tea and coffee) - Shakes and smoothies - Yoghurt I started on 2 January 2022, and already feeling great (but it's been a challenge). But, since the diet? Struggling to fall asleep like I used to! While I do get a full night's sleep, I have gone from falling asleep within 30 minutes of getting into bed to now waiting up to 2 hours for sleep to arrive. Pretty much going to do exactly this. No goodies for me in January and that includes Pepsi unfortunately. I'll still drink coffee only because I'm a complete wreck without it. I'm going to workout at least three hours a week, take cold showers everyday and limit my calorie intake. I'm just fed up with feeling naff all the time. I need to look after my mental health as well as my physical health. As for sleeping, I often listen to rain sounds so I drift off faster. Let me know how you go with it, but your program sounds good. FYI - you will get cravings by the end of week one, if not, half way through week 2. While it will be tempting to indulge, think of alternatives to things like bread and chips (almonds and dry apricots are a fantastic alternative). If you're REALLY dying for a cafe latte, one a day is ok. But no more. Do your best to fight it, your stomach will reward you given the lack of bloat. Report back, i'd love to see how it's working for you.

I've been snacking a lot less since New Year as well. I just need to keep my portions down.

"I just need to keep my portions down."
This is the way.
Remember, 70% of it is nutrition.
You don't need to physically push yourself as strenuously as you think.

I am starting to see a bit of progress, not physically but in my mind set. I've been to the shops twice in the last couple of days and I've suppressed all desires to go down the sweet and chocolate aisle. Naturally this is saving me money.

I'm more of a crisps man myself.

I'm more of a crisps man myself. Oh, I love crisps too especially when dipped in some hot salsa.

I set my alarm to 6:51am on Christmas Day and since then I have not changed it. Every morning I jump at the sound of my phone vibrating on the bed. It might be a really good way to get things done early in the morning if only I don't immediately go back to sleep after.

House has gone on the market. Had my first potential buyer today. Things are about to get interesting...
