Thoughts?

I have no love for Slott whatsoever, he and I have personal beef, though I have enjoyed some of his comic runs, I feel he was a poor fit for Spider-Man , and his Silver Surfer run basically cribs Moffat's style as much as possible. Didn't he even appear on the Who Fan Show at one point?

Sorry Genki but that is an absurd statement. 

That is like me saying as a Scotsman no one English should be allowed to make Sherlock Holmes as hey technically he's a Scottish character (As Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was Scottish.)

Great art should be for everyone. Cultural appropriation has always been one of my biggest gripes with the SJWs. To me it is a classic example of they end up being more seggregationist and bigoted than the people they fight against. (Well I say fight I mean dogpile on one person on twitter or GB because the idea of any of these people in a fight would be more entertaining than DW for the past 20 years.)

I'd have no issue with a yank either playing or making DW. They could hardly do a worse job than the Brits have for the past 30 years could they?

Are you telling me that you wouldn't have rather had a version of DW made by John Carpenter with say Kelsey Grammer as the Doctor in the 00s, playing it in his usual professorial, stuffy, pompous mode, than the version made by the British RTD and starring the pound shop Angel, Christopher Eccelston?

Dan Slott is a total cretin. He is honestly one of these people who should steer clear of social media because it brings out a really, really ugly, vindictive side of him.

I did love his run on She Hulk, but to be honest given how much he loves the Moffat era, I don't have high hopes for him to produce anything of quality for DW.

And of course, some of the more highly praised Sherlock dramas of the recent centuries, Elementary and the Seven Percent Solution, were developed by American authors, where as the 'very english' Sherlock ended up utterly fudged by another scot.
