This tends in my experience to apply to England and indeed was prompted by the following article in the times which is behind a paywall
In England, from my experience and indeed apparently that of others, there does shall we say seem to be a culture of negativity and aggressive defense of such negativity in relation to instances where you suggest or attempt to produces innovations (with reference to tech in particular and better ways of doing things).
I could give examples but in the first instance, I would be interested to know whether this is your experience and whether you are of the opinion that it is perhaps better to look elsewhere.
