I've done a whole article where I've ranked each one in detail if anyone wants to see it, but I'll list them here. It's curious that now I think about it the latest movie ranks much lower than I expected:
27. Casino Royale (1967) 26. Die Another Day (2002) 25. A View To A Kill (1985) 24. Diamonds Are Forever (1971) 23. Quantum Of Solace (2008) 22. The Living Daylights (1987) 21. Tomorrow Never Dies (1997) 20. No Time To Die (2021) 19. Moonraker (1979) 18. The Man With The Golden Gun (1974) 17. The World Is Not Enough (1999) 16. For Your Eyes Only (1981) 15. It's naff if you watch it as a follow up to OHMSS, but as a stand alone adventure it's very enjoyable. I like the Vegas setting, the car chase, the scores, the girls (Plenty and Tiffany are the most attractive girls in the series) and the general campiness of it. It's definitely the most enjoyable Connery film for me.

It's definitely the most enjoyable Connery film for me. I used to love it as a kid, particularly the moon buggy and the camp villains. Always love Charles Gray! And Bambi and Thumper would make captivity appealing (unless they get violent)... I now see it as transitional, with Connery bowing out in a more 'Moore' like film, but as you say there's little connection to OHMSS other than the prologue. That may be why it gets a bad rap now, but as a standalone film it's fun enough, with a few swipes at the Las Vegas lifestyle.

And that Gustav Graves line was one of the few things I rated about Die Another Day, apart from Halle Berry...

Never Say Never Again is the absolute worst Bond film ever. Quantum is the worst official film by far, but NSNA is the worst film featuring Bond. It's a horrible mess of a film. I suspect the idiots making it were flipping Moore's Bond the bird as they did it too. Connery looks like he's just stumbled out of bed in most scenes and he has none of the charm that he had in the EON series. Irvin Kershner's direction is incredibly dull and uninspiring just like his work for RoboCrap 2 seven years later. The cinematography is bland too unlike Octopussy which looked great for the time. Yes, Kim Basinger is gorgeous as Domino but she's hardly as interesting as the version in Thunderball. Same thing with Fatima Blush really. In fact, despite being made about eighteen years after Thunderball it somehow looks cheaper than that film. Every EON produced film is better than this poor excuse for a movie. Shame really because 1983 was a really great year for movies but this is definitely one of the worst if not the worst movie of that year.
