In all seriousness, I miss the music of the classic series. The music just sounds so generic in modern who, but in classic it really added to the story. Remember when the TARDIS crew discover the Dalek city? I guarantee that scene wouldn't have been as effective without Cary's haunting but wonderful cue accompanying it.

LMAO. God even in a parody drawing, Jodie's outfit stands out as being awful. Also you joke by having her say safe space, but take a look at this dialogue from Rosa. It honestly does look like it was written by a 13 year old SJW who is trying to be edgy. RYAN: I'm sick of this place already.
YASMIN: I know. But to be here just as history's taking place.
RYAN: This ain't history here, Yaz. We're hiding behind bins. I'm having to work so hard to keep my temper, every second here. I could've slapped that guy back there as soon as we arrived. Thank God me Nan taught me how to keep my temper. Never give them the excuse.
YASMIN: Yeah? My dad tells me the same.
RYAN: Yeah, see? It's not like Rosa Parks wipes out racism from the world forever. Otherwise, how come I get stopped way more by the police than my white mates?
YASMIN: Oi, not this police.
RYAN: Tell me you don't get hassle.
YASMIN: Course I do, especially on the job. I get called a Paki when I'm sorting out a domestic, or a terrorist on the way home from the mosque.
RYAN: Yeah, exactly.
YASMIN: But they don't win, those people. I can be a police officer now cos people like Rosa Parks fought those battles for me. For us. And in 53 years, they'll have a black President as leader. Who knows where they'll be 50 years after that? But that's proper change. What?
You can just imagine the wooden way that Yaz and Graham would have delivered that too. It's about as subtle as a sledgehammer to the face. Incidentally my new niece is named Rosa, so when I say Rosa is utter crap I have to be careful LOL This is the thing about the current series - it's literally now at the point that ANY dialogue can be used to show how half-witted it is, making the Davies and Moffat eras seem golden by comparison (which of course they were not). I can just imagine the RTD 'influencers' queuing up to watch his return with delight, then seeing the Tardis crew materialising in the middle of the Stonewall riots. Cue them, the Daily Telegraph and plenty of other media outlets screaming "He's gone woke!"

Yes even I have given up on it coming back now. Our last hope was the Chinballs era failing and that convincing people that this approach won't work. Sadly with RTD back he will be more likely to win the public back, simply due to the spin machine which will just cement Chinballs shit. I officially give up and I am just going to focus on eccentric female singers and Dinosaurs now LOL. Not saying I'll never watch Classic Who, but for now it's quite painful to think such a great, unique, imaginative show and character was completely destroyed by hacks. The Jimmy Carrs, the panel show canutes, the shallow BBC canutes and media whores they won. They not only helped to finish the original, but replaced it with a shallow, bastardisation that is everything they want, IE no sci fi, dreary soap opera, shallow identity politics, bland leading men and women that you'd see in any dreary BBC drama. It's a sad day for any kind of unique, alternative forms of entertainment. Well for me, I will always be a Doctor Who fan. It's a truly fantastic show that has clearly now run it's course but that dose not mean I'll ever give it up because thats when they truly do win. I will never be ashamed to say that the classic series is one of my faviort pieces of media ever created. I leave those others to what ever delights and turmoils the future of nuwho will bring them, knowing that what ever they do the Classic will always amazing. I'll continue to collect any new bits of media that build on that in a good way, such as reconstructions, audios and novels, while ignoring those I think are shite. In that knowledge I'm a happy fan, and none can ever take that away from me. Yet if their is a silver lining, just remember that time and tide melt the snowman. Change is inevitable, and who knows, maybe things will get better.

Cue them, the Daily Telegraph and plenty of other media outlets screaming "He's gone woke!" On another forum I just got a guy telling me I was scared of women being in DW and not just standing there and screaming because I hated Missy. You know that empowering role for women, a female villain whose entire motivation is to win back her boyfriend, is never a direct threat to him, gives him presents, and has to be rescued by him? PS Paloma Faith asked the writers of Pennyworth to make her villain, Bet Sykes a lesbian, because she didn't want her character falling into the route of "female villain who just wants the male leads big dick." One can only wonder what Paloma would think of Missy LOL. Still that's not even what amazed me. This guy also despises Jodie and the Chinballs era. He even has "glad to see the back of Chinballs" as a signature and he hates Chibnall for making it woke! He complains that Jodie was only cast because of virtue signalling and pc points scoring, yet when I say the same thing about Missy it becomes. "You're scared of women and just want women to stand at the back and trip and scream"

I agree with this view entirely. One of the worst aspects of NuWho is the overblown orchestral pomp - I couldn't stand Murray Gold's schlocky, brass band music. I'm currently watching newly animated The Evil Of The Daleks and a big part of the pleasure is listening to Dudley Simpson's wonderful incidental music. Class.

Regeneration Variety: the classic series regeneration process looks different with each Doctor - Hartnell lies down, Troughton goes spinning off into the blackness, Pertwee collapses on the floor etc. In most cases, viewers see the Doctor prone and apparently dying (or at least very ill/injured) whereas NuWho standardized/normalized the action of regeneration, making it look much less like the approach of death. Doctor upright, mock-heroic pose, arms spread out, energy bursting from head and hands - every single time.
