I don't think she will. I'm not saying I want that, but I do think she will be made the fall girl. Chibnall will undoubtedly shoulder a lot of the blame, but ultimately I can't see Jodie making her way to Hollywood.
To be honest she does bare a lot of the responsibility. Whilst the scripts were awful and a woman would never be a good choice, her performance by any measure was atrocious. This was her big break and to say she blew it with her squeaky voice, silly faces and faux eccentricity would be an understatement.

I'm sure the BBC will give her plenty of work, they protect their own. No I don't see her doing a Karen Gillan and conquering Hollywood somehow, though.

Too many times I've read sentences like; "Jodie's a fine actress, she's been let down by poor scripts" or "I would like to see her with a showrunner other than Chibnall - I think she would shine". This is nonsense - she's an average, ordinary actress of modest talent, out of her depth and lacking the personality and presence to convincingly play the Doctor . I don't like the fact that she didn't bother to research the character, or that she doesn't appear to understand the show or it's legacy. Plus, she won no fans with her 'white male gaze' comments.

I'm not sure. I wouldn't want her to not appear in anything again, but I don't think she'll ever be cast as the lead in a program in the future. She has no real weight to her and she feels like a stranger in her own series when it comes to Doctor Who.

Yeah agreed, nobody wants her or anyone to be blacklisted, but sadly for her sake I think she proved she isn't fit to be a leading lady with her "performance" as the Doctor. Really she only has herself to blame. Who knows maybe if she had stuck to dreary, unimaginative crime dramas she would have continued to enjoy leading lady status, but at the very least Jodie has shown she isn't a genre actress as she treats it almost like a comedy role. A silly, frothy, light hearted role.

Ive not watched any of her era in full on principle, but from the clips I’ve seen and read, Jodie was never cut out for this role, she was picked because she was ok’ chinballs mate (which pretty much guaranteed she’d go with what ever he wanted), she didn’t both to research it, she in fact was discouraged from doing so and what you get was a gender swapped, Tennent 2.0 that the BBC had been constantly trying to create since he left.
Her entire performance is either poor, copy catted or comity approved. She’s one big approved product that ticked all the box’s and is totally bland. I cannot understand how anyone could enjoy her performance, because it feels so fake.
Im shore she’ll keep on working for now, and I am not the kind of person to wish poverty on anyone, but unless she really ups her acting ability I don’t know what she’s going to do as time moves on and things change. Chinballs is not always going to be their to hire her, the BBC is not always going to want her especially as new people take over with different ideas.
Maybe she’ll be like Eve Myles, drop off the radar for a bit then comeback in something new after a few years.
