I don't think Chibs means 'swarm' as in the 70s villain.

Misogynistic manbaby. Try living in the 21st century and stop being a white supremacist.

I don't think Chibs means 'swarm' as in the 70s villain. Some how that sounds far more boring. I mean the classic version had a little of the old Classic Who flare from what I’ve read and the The Nucleus looks ok from the stills I’ve seen. Ol Chubbs will just make some crap nuwho enemy that will only be remembered because it was in the worse and hopefully final season of nuwho. Given how this Tim Shaw character is just generic predator ripp off and almost all the other original monsters of the Jodie era are just shit versions of other creations this swam ain’t gonna be anything to wrk home about.

Continuing the I Claudius theme, the news of Chibnall being fired is comparable to the fact that Caligula was assassinated because they couldn't go on with his lunacy any longer LOL.
We may be in for a Claudius next. I hope we just skip to Nero though personally and end this shit show for once.

So when is Jodie actually leaving? They seem to be going back and forth about it, saying it's this series, then she has one special in 2022. I can't imagine she would want to appear in just one story in 2022. Colin didn't want to do that because he said that in that one year he wouldn't get any work because people would still think he was the Doctor, but at the same time he would only get paid for one episode's worth.

I'm rather thankful its for the BBC's anniversary and not Doctor Who's. Barring some truly unprecedented miracle, the kind that is an actual altering of the very fabric of the universe, it's going to be f*cking terrible and I'd rather it be a skidmark on the BBC's big day the stain any real special occasions for Doctor Who. I mean the Jodie era literally cannot do anything worse then it has, bar Jodie going to out and literally pissing on Hartnel's grave, but I'd like to the 60's anniversary to be a mostly happy occasion unmired by Jodie's face or Chinballs' existance.

I thought it was just two specials? 8 eps in total. 6 this year, and two specials next year.

Brilliant, isn't it? Emulating a season which required fans with long attention spans - but in this case aimed at fans with the shortest possible! Despite this conundrum, I'm willing to place a bet on Trial being infinitely more entertaining. At least the verbosity of the dialogue coupled with the articulate demeanour of Colin's Doctor respects the audience's intelligence to a greater capacity. Apparently The Swarm are a major part of this season. How appropriate they're named after arguably Michael Caine's worst film! It's either that, or Jaws 4. This is Caine on the latter: "I haven't seen it, but I've seen the house it built for my Mum! It's fantastic!".
