God damn it!
I'm happy for Star Wars fans obviously, but ugh. Star Wars looks like it will be fixing its terrible mistakes. Kennedy is gone, and Favreau who cares about the show is being given greater control, and from the looks of things even Gina Carano will be back!
Star Wars fans spoke out against the changes made to their franchise. They didn't suck it up and think "we have to say everything involved in DW is great so third rate hacks like Jimmy Random Gag won't laugh at us." They didn't shrink in the face of political fanatics and ban people who told the truth like GB, Anoraks, Planet Skaro. As a result proper Star Wars is coming back now.
Once again being a DW fan is depressing. Such a spineless, pathetic, desperate to be liked fandom. What did the original series do to be cursed with fans like these?

I'm not sure you can blame fandom. Disney is a business, and basically has no choice but to fix its mistakes if it wants to keep a paying audience and a profitable franchise. The BBC can just keep on churning out despised propaganda by sucking on the taxpayer teat.

I'm not sure you can blame fandom. Disney is a business, and basically has no choice but to fix its mistakes if it wants to keep a paying audience and a profitable franchise. The BBC can just keep on churning out despised propaganda by sucking on the taxpayer teat. True, but I can't help but feel that every franchise put up more of a fight than DW. Look at That Star Wars Girl, and then compare her to the endless supply of DW youtubers who are just bland clones all with the same f*cking opinions as each other. "DW IS ALL ABOUT CHANGE, MISSY IS FANTASTIC." It took until Jodie for anyone to speak out, and even then the one guy who did, Bowlestrek was f*cking smeared as a dog rapist! Even Dave Cullen said that he got more grief for his video, the vandalisation of Doctor Who than he did for any others. Stating "this show has more SJWs fans than any other." Question is who let these SJW fans run rampant and become the dominant voices in fandom? Death in Heaven should have been the Last Jedi moment. For anyone who was a fan of the original they couldn't possibly have carried on after that. Yet you got arseholes praising Missy as channelling Delgado! Ironically it was a flop among the mainstream audiences. They all switched off in droves after that shit stain, but these deluded cult like fans, still clung to it out of fear of being called sexist. Similarly take a look at Anoraks. It's not even a pro New Who forum. It's made up of middle aged classic era fans, but they are such pathetic cowards terrified of looking like people who get more right wing as they get older, they pander to these f*ckwits and ban me for telling the truth. (Apparently my comments were too offensive. If I'd made creepy comments about Little Mix being ugly, not f*ckable and so on I guess that would have been alright?) It says a lot that the only forum I've ever been able to state my opinions about why this show went south is this one. Seriously. Even on Planet Mondas once upon a time I got censored. (I don't know if that is the case now. I like the moderator on PM now to be clear he's a cool guy.) On Hive redux I famously got several users dogpilling on me, whilst on NuHive I got framed AND banned by that arsehole Adam. So yeah one tiny forum (well this and Auton Factory, but I best not probably mention that one here LOL. Still two tiny forums mate up of mates are the only places I can express an opinion about why the show failed, one that is backed up by facts!)

Wait, what?! Kathleen Kennedy gone. When? How? Article? Here it is. Apparently there are some people saying it's not true now, but I reckon they are just saving face. They'll probably keep her on in a useless, nothing role for a while and then drop her without fuss. insidethemagic.net/2021/06/disney-kathleen-kennedy-star-wars-rwb1/

Here's what I predict; they obviously won't outright sack Kathleen.
Instead, she'll be incrementally shoehorned out of the company.
First, Disney/Lucasfilm may announce a "reshuffle" or "restructuring" where Kathleen will still hold a very senior position, but in a way where she will need to go through more red tape for projects to be approved.
Once that operation is in play, they'll appoint a new Producer but, again, keep Kathleen on board but will reduce her responsibilities.
Following all of that, she'll just announce her retirement.
