lol Um, yeah... I honestly don't know how many I have. I have like 500 something in Blu rays according to my Blu ray.com count collection, but that doesn't count DVDs and is also (mostly) movies, so that doesn't take into account my TV stuff. It's a worry but I don't trust streaming for shit.

If you buy a film on Amazon it doesn't mean that you have that film forever They state they can take away your right to view it at anytime. Hardly endearing. I just hope our discs outlive us all.

I'm giving the bulk of my collection to charity next week. I've just gone off a lot of stuff and honestly I'm happy with the stuff I'm not giving away. A threw in a lot of CDs and books too. It's nice to get rid of a lot of clutter out of the room.

Don't do it. You'll regret it, just like you did with Who... Having cancelled Netflix earlier this month (that didn't last long), I've splurged on another bunch of 70s and 80s movie Blu rays now.

Quite a few though I’ve sold and bought many over the years.
I’ve got pretty much every good to decent live action Dinosaur Film made between 1925 to the present. Many crap ones from in that timeframe to though I need to catch up on my collection. I also have multiple documentaries and TV shows.
I’ve now got all of classic who
I own the complete franchises of Alien, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Halloween, Phantasm, Pumpkinhead and Maniac Cop.
I own most of the Predator, Evil Dead and Puppet Master films.
I own every Godzilla, Gamera and Kong movie ever made, plus several Kong rip-offs. I also own all of the Showa Era Ultraman shows, plus multiple ones from the Heisei, Millennium and Reiwa eras
I have a big, very big, collection of giant robot anime from Japan, all from between the 70’s till now. I have multiple anime including both series of Guyver, all available releases of Devilman and several more.
I don’t trust streaming either and have bought pretty much every thing I truly enjoy on physical media were possible.

Somehow I don't think I will this time. Most of what I'm giving away I haven't seen for ages nor do I have any real desire to watch again. I might go through the bags and take out stuff that I probably shouldn't have put in there in the first place, but I'm pretty happy with what I've kept on my shelves. Most of the films I kept are from the 70s and 80s too with a few favourites from the 90s and 00s as well. I'm not giving away my Doctor Who stuff, though. I wouldn't make that mistake again.

We're hopefully going tomorrow. I've had all that time to decide what to keep and I'm fine with what's going.

I gave away some crap prior to moving. DVDs of stuff I've upgraded to Blu ray, and some blind buys I didn't care for. I have enough crap I do like.

Yeah, I'm happy with the stuff I've got. As for blind buying, I keep renting films that I never finish because I lose interest halfway through. I've lost a bit of money doing that. That's why I like to stick with the stuff I already own because A) I know I like it and B) I'm not wasting money.

Yeah I've saved some hassle with new movies by renting them via YouTube lately. Not worth buying.

My problem is shelf space. I've almost run out of space for Blu rays and DVDs now. God knows where I'm going to put my Season 25 set when it comes out.
