The complete Miami Vice blu ray. I never watched this in the 80s, so this is all Maxil's fault. I hope you enjoy them.

I've gone a bit silly with giant posters. It's just the thrill of being able to get custom ones, I've got ones for all sorts of stuff lol. I don't know where I'm going to put them all mind...

The Mean Arena - Volume Two: This volume wasn't interesting as the first one, Tom Tully appears to bow out of the story half way through and the scripting duties are taken up by A.Ridgway, which I've heard rumoured is a pen-name alias for John Wagner, but whether there is any truth in this I know not. However, the story does veer somewhat more on the silly side once the scripting duties are transferred and the whole thing wrapped up rather abruptly. Fortunately Mike Smiths art lends a bit consistency but even he seems a bit rushed to wrap it up in the final instalments too. There's a real feeling of "We've had enough of this, someone pull the curtain down, f*ck it." and it ends. There's still some entertaining moments in this, but it's very average fare. The backup story is Slaughterbowl which again, isn't bad but isn't great either. All in all, better than the last two books I've read in this range but still very average stuff. I'm hoping the next batch of releases will be better, but with some more Sinister Dexter, ABC Warriors and Brass Sun to be released there should be some more diamonds coming soon.

Discouraged by Star Trek's current handling of Q, I got an alternative:

Was planning to relax at home today, but decided around lunch time to go to town. Bought £40 worth of Doctor Who DVDs in HMV. Four Toms, one Davo and one Colin.

Now have a framed giant Halloween III poster in my bedroom, and framed giant Gremlins and Ghostbusters on the wall in my sitting room further on from Wicked Science and Fletch. Yeah, baby. Getting there...

Awesome what stories did you buy ? Destiny, City of Death, Horror of Fang Rock, Five Doctors, Revelation of the Daleks and Genesis. I boughty Genesis mainly because it was cheap and I might watch it again in the future. I watch the stories I don't own on BritBox, but I'd rather buy the DVDs and watch them on my TV as opposed to a computer.

Blu ray of Street People, a mid 70s Italian-made gangster action thriller. I would never have heard of it but for a delightfully bonkers bit of casting, with the lead character of the son of an Italian Mafiosa being... Roger Moore! No way I'm not picking THAT up!
