Catweazle DVD. Wonderfully anarchic fun with Geoffrey Bayldon's out-of-time magician. Absolutely Classic TV.

Caballistics Inc:'Creepshow' Graphic novel by Gordon Rennie and Dom Reardon. A British paranormal investigation team face all manner of supernatural terrors, including a haunted film studio. Lots of references to Hammer and Amicus films, Quatermass and vintage British Horror and Sci Fi in general (Tom Baker turns up in one story - sort of). Dom Reardon's creepy, atmospheric black & white artwork complements the horror and weirdness perfectly - grand stuff! I regret I didn't really bother with Caballistics Inc when I first encountered the strip in the pages of 2000AD but I recently bought this from eBay and am loving it. Recommended.

The new restoration of The Howling on Blu ray. Looks incredible!
Sleepaway Camp II on Blu ray. Not a massive improvement over the DVD, but it's visually nice anyway and still worth the upgrade.
A pair of Sony headphones. I needed them for jogging as my last pair broke on me.
The 30th Anniversary Blu ray of The Neverending Story. Hasn't arrived yet, but I'm sure it's a massive improvement over the disappointing DVD release.

Some more deliveries from ol' Blighty: Some more Monster Munch (yum) and some Scampi Fries. I have had them in Aus, from a UK shop in SA, but even that's over a decade ago. Had one last night, f*cking nice. Now where are those Burton's Fish and Chips?

I will be buying a new laptop. I've got my eye on the macbook but they don't do Type 1 VMs and are a bit "Tarquin and Jemima"

The RoboCop trilogy on Blu ray. I had the original before on Blu ray and I didn't think it was the best remaster. However, it will be nice to see the underrated RoboCop 3 in the best quality. £15 for two films isn't bad at all. Of course, 2 doesn't count and I won't be watching it regardless of the quality. You can't polish a turd, eh?

An early Christmas present - the five Grandville stories, collected into this massive and beautiful omnibus edition. Bryan Talbot's gorgeously illustrated alternate history/steampunk world of anthropomorphic animals. Stunning!

I meant the original Warner Brother films. theweek.com/articles/639355/why-ridiculous-1966-batman-movie-most-important-batman-movie-everAnd: I'm really not a fan of Batman - in any incarnation - comic books, films, TV, cartoons, etc. I love comics but tbh, find most superheroes rather silly and pointless ( well apart from Zenith and that's cos he's from 2000AD and the strip included stuff inspired by HP Lovecraft - oh, and I love Brian Bolland's gorgeous artwork for 'The Killing Joke').
