Russ Ballard's self titled album from 1984. One of the best rock albums I've ever heard to be honest. I also bought the Best of the Pointer Sisters which I'm not ashamed of

Looks like I'll have to buy a new Blu ray player. 9 times out of 10 these days my player won't read the disc properly and if it does it takes up to ten minutes. I think the tray might be damaged.

Rambo: First Blood Part II on Blu Ray
Completely forgot I could watch BLu rays on my XBOX so I don't have to invest in a new player just yet. I decided to get the sweaty, macho, testosterone fuelled sequel to the poignant "First Blood." It's essentially one giant live action cartoon of things going BOOM and BANG, but I kind of enjoy it. I always fancied the cute Asian chick in the movie as well.

New blu ray player. Was relatively cheap compared to some makes. Hopefully I don't bugger the disc tray up on this one.

Arrow's Empire of Screams blu ray set. Never seen any of the 5 cult 80s B movies within but they look fun so...

Cancelled Netflix again. Literally the only things I'm watching on there are DS9 and Seinfeld, both of which I have on DVD. When they get season 2 of All of Us Are Dead, I'll resubscribe but that's apparently likely to be mid next year. It's really a waste of money for me.

Britney Spears - the singles collection CD/DVD combo.
Mainly bought this for the DVD which has all of her music videos on it. Slave 4 U, Toxic, Gimme More, Piece of Me, Oops..., and of course Hit Me Baby One More Time. I'm only watching her videos on DVD so I can study the camerawork and lighting in more detail. Why else would I want to watch them on my crystal clear television?

I got Series 1 of Who relatively cheap on Blu ray (cheaper than the average TruWho boxsets anyway) and I must say that I've been punked. This is, by far, the worst Blu ray I own. Why? Because there is NO difference in quality between the episodes on Blu ray and on DVD. Even the Classic Series stuff look a little bit better than DVD especially when you throw the film sequences into the mix. But this is utterly awful. I realize these weren't filmed in HD, but the upscaling is dreadful. All the episodes are running at the wrong speed as well so the dullest episodes feel that much longer. I was maybe going to get Series 3 on blu ray as well (which they didn't have at my local HMV), but after this dismal display I'll stick with the DVDs.

The real question here is why bother splashing out on a boxset when there's only two or three episodes you actually like...

SMASH - The Pet Shop Boys Singles 1985-2020 (CD)
I think this is my forth or fifth Pet Shop Boys compilation though this is arguably the definitive one due to the fact that it features over fifty singles spanning across thirty five years. I already have most of their older stuff, but I don't have a lot of their late 90s/00s work which is just as good as their 80s work in my opinion.Their newer work is a bit mixed, but I'm sure it will grow on me.

I recently pur pur pur purchased the film "The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas" hoping for it to feature an Adric type fresh faced lad ready to be groomed and devoured by an older mature experienced man. I actually laid an egg I was so eager with anticipation before watching it. My bill was actually doing flips around my face I was so excited. Unfortunately, it was some rubbish about World War 2 instead. What a con!

The Sun Makers DVD. Another smart and funny Williams era classic for my collection.
Praise the Company!
