Word's going 'round that Millie was inappropriately groped at London Comic Con this weekend. It was brought to my attention by Tharries on social media.
If true, another inconsolable low for the programme as well as another blemish on the fandom.

What is it with contemporary Doctor Who fandom and successive production/writing teams being consistently associated with sexually abhorrent behaviour?

Isn't that one of her first comic cons as well? I wouldn't blame her for avoiding this unhinged fandom from now on.

Honestly what is with this f*cking fandom?
In the last few years we've had 3 lead actors kicked off for sexual misconduct allegations, one of its most popular writers revealed to be a disgusting predator, a serial killer be used to advertise the show, the head of its magazine get wrapped up in a scandal where he bullied, manipulated and gaslit a woman with mental health problems, casting couch rumours about the lead actor, and now TWO actresses who played the companions not going to conventions because of fans wandering hands?
Jesus Christ! To say it would have been better if DW had never come back and its legacy not be tarnished is at this stage an understatement.

I suppose this is what incessantly "being kind" does to people... Honestly I take pride that I didn't fit in with this fandom. I saw many of its creeps for what they were, like Neil Gaiman. I always thought his work was utterly perverse, Bendy Cock I always knew was a bully and a phony virtue signaller etc. DW needs seriously purged of the entire fandom elite. It needs to actually become an all but dead brand I'd say in order for it to basically be allowed to start again. I can't believe there is anyone out there that would honestly think "at least it's not like in the 90s/00s" PS Doctor In Distress suddenly looks innocent in all of this.

Maybe the groper was American, seeing as how millions of them are prepared to turn a blind eye their president's enthusiasm for this activity..... Anyway, Millie's groping appears not to gone beyond the rumour stage.

Maybe the groper was American, seeing as how millions of them are prepared to turn a blind eye their president's enthusiasm for this activity..... Framing is everything. On the one hand, one could ask, "Are you economically better or worse off now than four years ago?". On the other hand, one could ask, "Do you support a Presidential Candidate who, by his own admission, relishes in pussy-grabbing, hushes-up dodgy dealings with porn stars, loves Jeffrey Epstein and regards Richard Nixon as left-wing?". I'm unsure if the answer to the latter would be quite as resounding an endorsement... Mind you, one could also ask: "Do you support a Presidential Candidate who promotes Bush-era war hawks, supplies endless money for foreign wars and did f uck all for the American working class when in office?". I still reckon that Trump's victory is symptomatic of an ineffectual and craven neoliberal establishment on the one hand (manifest most explicitly in the Democratic Party) and the generally depraved character of American political discourse on the other. The complete lack of a viable alternative is integral to the clusterfu ck America finds itself in. A statement which, incidentally, applies to Doctor Who's current creative team too.

All true, but I think we've established such things as this many times over. Neither side are worth their salt, particularly on economics. Let's see what Trump will do for the ordinary man. It's the fault of the system that such a man as Trump could get anywhere near a position of power. Give it 10 years and Musk will probably be POTUS anyway.
