What Doctor Who serials do you think could have done well as a theatrical release if they were edited?
As much as I don't like it, Spearhead from Space is probably the best example because it was literally shot on film and the plot is straightforward.
I definitely think Marco Polo has a chance, as a road trip sort of movie. The Web of Fear and Enemy of the World are both top contenders.
The Sea Devils (re-scored), The Seeds of Doom, the Talons of Weng-Chiang, Enlightenment, Caves of Androzani, Remembrance of the Daleks, Silver Nemesis, Greatest Show in the Galaxy and Curse of Fenric are other potentials imo.

Definitely Spearhead. Earthshock is another one.

I know we're only talking about Classic Who, but for NuWho I think Flux would suit the big screen. It feels massive. I reckon it would work as a three hour epic.
I think a lot of the McCoy ones would suit the big screen too. The ideas in that era were always intended to be made with a bigger budget than they were originally given. Silver Nemesis is an example of this. It's actually an incredibly ambitious story with world ending consequences and numerous set pieces. It deserved a bigger budget for the occasion. That said, it holds up remarkably well given the production problems.

McCoy ones have the advantage of more modernised editing and pacing. That old-school theatrical sluggishness kind of died away with Colin.
