There's been a bit of activity over the last few weeks regarding 'rumours' and 'leaks' for the show on Reddit that have escalated in frequency and conflicting detail. I figured I'd post the latest one because it's just such obvious, hysterical 'bait.
Feat. Tim Davies vs Chibnall, Pete McTinge's takeover, the reshoots of The Timeless Children, Karl Marx, Danny Devito, The Doctor's real name, The Doctor's evil pre-Ruth self 'Nigelic Crutch', and more insanity!

Spinning out of this now is a full on grudge match between Noel Glyn's fanatics on the TARDIS Zone YT channel and Gallifrey Base members. His latest video posted screencaps of the various GB members highlighting one of the crack reddit rumours which labelled both him and his wife Cheryl 'Sontarans'. Noel was particularly offended as Cheryl has been in and out of hospital due to the stress brought on by troll attacks
Of course, Noel and his members are so blinded by these alleged attacks on his character that he can't see when he is proving to be far worse in his behaviour...publicly naming and shaming a GB member called "J-Bot". Apparently his cohorts, such as GB lurker Marty, are digging deep into J-Bot's post count over there trying to dig up things she's said that they can use in counter-arguments and to mock the person in general over on livestreams.
J-Bot has since switched to his real name on GB.

I think Reddit sucks for the most part. I don't like the upvote/downvote feature which clearly just leads to moblike behaviour if people don't agree with the poster.
I cringe at some of the movie based groups on there. They really went into the original Blade Runner for being shallow and rubbish compared to the "AMAZING" sequel. Even people crapping all over the original Top Gun but praising the sequel (which isn't a hundred times better than the first as people often suggest it is) as some kind of revolutionary film gets on my nerves. I like the movie a lot, but as Bernard said it seems out of place alongside similarly highly rated films such as Full Metal Jacket and Aliens. I'm sure there's a movie group on there where a pretentious teen attempts to explain why The Shawshank Redemption is really the worst movie ever made.

That's probably more down to it being the current generation desperately trying to pretend their pop culture isn't 500 times shittier than it was 40 years ago. Sorry, lads, we all know it is.
