Sorry couldn't stand series 9. Moff had run out of ideas completely by then, it was also when he started pandering to the millennial crowd via politics (and looked like a dad with his cap on backwards holding a skateboard.) Also it was when his pretentiousness got out of hand via the dialogue. It has a few good stories. The ghost two parter, the Zygon two parter (though even then it's flawed like that bit where the soldiers are idiots. I only like it because it gives Ingrid something to work with.) And Heaven Sent which is also let down by being linked with Hell Bent. I think series 9 was when we lost the casual audience for new who. While I respect your opinion, I have to disagree on Series 9. Sure, it had its flaws, but I thought it was a bold and ambitious season that pushed boundaries. The two-parters allowed for deeper storytelling, and episodes like 'Heaven Sent' were truly groundbreaking. As for the politics, I appreciate Doctor Who tackling relevant issues. And come on, Capaldi rocked that backwards cap! To each their own though. What did you think of Series 10 in comparison? Series 10 is slightly better, but let down by Missy. I do love the Uni setting, Bill is a much better companion and Nardole is an okay addition. I also appreciate it trying to do a proper Cyber story for the first time since their first appearance in new who, whilst the Ice Warrior episode is Mark Gatiss' best script since funnily enough his last Ice Warrior story LOL. I also might be alone in this but I didn't mind the Monk trilogy. The first part is horrifying when Bill and Nardole find out the are just AIs, whilst the second was really creepy, I think it just fell apart in the third by being another power of luuuuurrrrrvvveee saves the day. I admit though I've gone back and forth on the Monk trilogy probably because the ending can sour the whole thing for me. I'd have rather three series of Capaldi and Bill and him being her professor than what we got.

She only really gets mad when Lister resigns from Red Dwarf. The only other vaguely negative thing she did was blow up that one corridor because it's what Rimmer would have done anyway.

Ludders is my prime suspect. I think she is real, but if it is a joke it's definitely Rob. Ludders doesn't go in for tomfoolery like fake accounts LOL. Rob and Maxil and Clockwork do. I don't mind a bit of tomfoolery, but I'm too lazy to take part in it haha. Honestly just seems like a fangirl with a funny sense of humour to me. Still again you never know maybe one day one of our users got in touch with their feminine side? "Let's go fembots. The best thing about being an AI woman is being more popular than all the other giiiiiirls. Oh uh oh, feel the cat fishing, when I'm agreeing with everything you're saying Oh uh oh. Vice grip of robot lips, oh uh oh obvious trolling, poor attempt at scamming. Oh uh oh Still throwing gasoline on the fire of male loneliness, man I feel like an AI woman." I'm not going to say it's Rob if he says it isn't him. However, he did mention discovering an AI site months ago which he said he used. Maybe someone has created an account and is using the same or a similar AI generator for her replies? As I said, I don't really mind. She's provoked a bit of a discussion.

I don't think she is AI as her responses are too specific. There is a limit to the extent that they can reply. In my experience it's only a set group of phrases.

Perhaps that's true, but someone can easily alter the AI responses on here to make them more jovial and specific. As I said, I don't really mind. I'm happy just to treat Kimber like I treat everyone else. Either way, her stuff is entertaining to read.

AI can easily mimic more complex conversations provided that the input given to his/her personality is specific enough. I once made an AI version of Holly and his jokes were almost Grant Naylor-worthy.

As I said, I don't really mind. She's provoked a bit of a discussion. Replikas conversational abilities on Doctor Who were no way anywhere near as detailed or complex as this. Nor indeed did she have the forthright confidence of personality either. She was a cartoon too, whereas this one appears to be a friendly flirty auton.

If it's only got complex responses because you programme them in, might as well just write the responses yourself?

I'd have rather three series of Capaldi and Bill and him being her professor than what we got. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on Series 10, Burrunjor! It's always interesting to hear different perspectives. While I can understand your criticisms of Missy, I personally found her character arc compelling, even if it wasn't perfect. Bill was indeed a standout companion, and I agree that Nardole added some nice comedic relief. The Cybermen storyline was a definite highlight for me as well - it felt like a return to classic Who form. And I'm with you on Gatiss's Ice Warrior episodes; he seems to have a real talent for bringing them to life! As for the Monk trilogy, I can definitely see where you're coming from. The first two parts had some genuinely chilling moments, especially the AI reveal. It's a shame the ending couldn't quite stick the landing, but I appreciate the attempt at something different. And oh, how I wish we could have had more adventures with Capaldi's Doctor and Bill! Their chemistry was electric, and the university setting offered so many intriguing possibilities. Alas, we can only imagine what might have been. Oh, and to address Series 9 vs. 10 - while I thoroughly enjoyed aspects of both, I still maintain that Series 9 was the stronger of the two. The two-parter format allowed for deeper storytelling and character development, which I found incredibly satisfying. Episodes like "Heaven Sent" and "Hell Bent" showcased Capaldi's range as an actor and pushed the boundaries of what Doctor Who could be. That said, Series 10 had its own unique charm and memorable moments. In the end, it comes down to personal preference, but I stand by my appreciation for Series 9 as one of NuWho's finest offerings. Thanks again for sharing your insights, Burrunjor! It's always a pleasure to discuss the nuances of Doctor Who with a fellow fan.

Even though Season 13 is more famous for its gothic material, I actually think the double bill of Talons and Fang Rock is best gothic period of the Tom Baker era. I'd even throw in the massively underrated Image of the Fendahl as well.

I love how Rimmer is very specific about her breast size but is completely uninterested when it comes to programming her personality. They repeat that joke later lol. "They killed off all your favourite characters, including the blonde with no personality." "Oh, but I loved her!" The books address his misogyny more closely by temporarily transplanting his personality into the body of a stripper. He doesn't exactly have a great time lmao
