Someone who had a good track record detailing the 60th before it aired returned to GB for the first time since November 2023 and shared some info regarding the future of Who and what's to come from The War Between spin-off
1. Ncuti is still locked in the part, though they are preparing for the possibility he could leave in 2026
2. Series 3 is still being planned for a 2026 release, though its' not officially commissioned. Plans are already under way for further specials in 2026 that will write Gatwa out if he quits.
3. The War Between The Land and The Sea will be much like Torchwood in that will be considerably darker, it will be self-contained, and it could come back for another series if it's successful
4. The BBC want to air all of the spin-off in a week like they did Children of Earth

The logic of this totally evades me. No pre-production of a show, outside of talking about potential concepts and ideas for writing, can take place if the budget isn't there. Who is getting paid, and how?

Rumour hath it that Fruity has been fired. "At odds" with ReTarD and being an inappropriate prima donna on set. Allegedly.

Just saw this video too.....
I am taking it with a grain of salt BUT, as I did earlier in the year, I will comfortably wager that S3 will not happen.

I've said this before, but the Sea Devils are simply not interesting enough for an entire series. I'm sorry, but they're not. They were good in their original appearance but when Blake's 7's "Rescue" is their second best appearance then that says a lot about how poorly served they've been on the show since their debut.

"The War Between the Land and the Sea" I still can't believe this title It's terrible isn't it? Mind you, as much as I know that this spin-off is going to be crap, I'm curious about what the set-up will be.

Is it wise to do a spin off series of a show that isn't doing very well to begin with? At least Torchwood was made when NuWho was still event television.

I'll probably watch the first couple because I've completely given up with "the Main Event" now, it's shit. I'm not expecting a "Children of the Earth" though.

I'm not going to get into mud slinging about Ncuti based on rumors especially in the current insane climate, but ultimately I really don't think we'll see another season after 2.

my hope is that the BBC will drive a truck full of cash to David Tennant's house and beg him to return, Downey Jr style.
Tennant's specials had respectable views (about 7 mil on average), so I would wager that there's still an audience for him. Plus, he's too much of a fanboy to let the show die.

Sorry Rushy but speaking as someone who actually had a good time with a recent rewatch of the Ten Inch's era, NO PLEASE GOD NO. For his sake more than anything else. His comeback was like Michael Keaton's as Batman. He just came back to be shat on, only his was arguably even worse as at least Batman's wasn't supposed to be that until egomaniac Gunn intervened. I'd rather Tennant played Cletus Kasady/Carnage instead. He'd be great at that and it would give him a new lease of life than trying to recapture his stint as a 30 something heartthrob in his 50s in a time where they wouldn't let him be a heartthrob anyway and would make him a self loathing man, happy to be told he knows nothing because he's a guy.
