I loved Tom's final season. It was a nice renaissance for him as an actor, after all that inane goofing around he did for a few years.

Adore State of Decay. 80s Cybermen are the coolest Cybermen. The Five Doctors remains the gold standard in anniversary specials. Season 22 is sublime. The McCoy era is my second fave after Tom.

Watched Revelation of the Daleks this evening. Wonderful combination of Harper's superb direction and a macabre but often funny script by Eric Saward. This is the most expensive-looking Colin adventure with some terrific sets (love all those statues) and visually impressive photography in the snowy woodlands. I like this one a lot.
8.5/10

I like this one a lot. 8.5/10 Jobel's death is one of my favourite moments. I love the way this woman is having a mental breakdown and he is just having a great wee time. Further proof (as if anymore is needed) of what a vile piece of work Jobel is, is the fact nobody comes to help him when he is stabbed or cares when he dies haha. I also love the way he refers to himself in third person "You've killed Jobel, you can't have killed Job, you can't have." Also yes the wig coming off is the crowning touch.

Was never much of a fan of 80's Who, especially at the time. But I do have some nice things to say.
If JNT had handled the publicity of 80's Who as well as he handled Earthshock, it would have never been cancelled. Living through the excitement of that story was one of the best Who experiences ever. Colin Baker was my favourite 80's Doctor. Much prefer him to McCoy. Not talking about the audios, the TV version. Remember a lot of excitement about him at the time. Even among those of us that hated Twin Dilemma. All of that was undone by Grade and Powell. Miss the fandom back then. There was an elite, but they didn't think they were better than the actual showmakers, unlike what followed. Celestial Toyroom, DWAS, Skaro fanzines, lots of missing episodes coming back.
