1996 TV Movie Writer Matthew Jacobs Returns (Big Finish)

Matthew Jacobs, the man who gave us The Doctor's first snog, the half-human origin, the ecto-morphant Master, and timing malfunctions , returns to write the Eighth Doctor for Big Finish in a story involving Puccini.

In Jacobs' story, the TARDIS arrives in Milan at the turn of the twentieth century, where the time travellers encounter legendary opera composer, Giacomo Puccini (voiced by Tim McInnerny, known for Blackadder, Game of Thrones, and Doctor Who: Planet of the Ood). But the Doctor’s not the only alien around with an interest in the music of love.

I'm onboard. It's likely to be more authentic than any recent Big Finish. Tim McInnerny is great casting.
