...would it be considered a bigger disgrace to the series than the Whittaker era?
Though the Timeless Child idea is cack, the fact that RTD was in a position to discard it and instead made it core part of his new series is more contemptible. He knows everyone hates it, but he does things specifically to piss off people like some attention-seeking school kid. I also think Ncuti playing himself instead of the Doctor for the entire season is worse than anything Whittaker ever did.

I can't say, because I haven't actually seen anything past Church on Ruby Road. But at least Whittaker's first season genuinely tried to move on, and her last season was somewhat inventive with the Flux thing.

It's hard to say in all honesty.
Jodie's era destroyed the franchise to the point were barring a reboot there was no saving it. The Timeless Children is offensive it's so terrible.
However in all fairness there was arguably no saving it after the Capaldi era. Moff was the sell out that in Rob's words kicked every sacred cow he could so should the Capaldi era be seen as the biggest disgrace with that in mind?
However in all honesty I've never seen a lazier era than Ncuti. I've never seen an era that doesn't even remotely care about it's own internal logic, doesn't care about being original or creative and also doesn't care about actually trying to adapt Doctor Who.
Capaldi obviously was genuinely good casting and he gave good performances, had good ideas about what he wanted his Doctor to be like his costume, more professorial attitude and his relationship with Bill was a classic 7th Doctor and Ace type of a set up.
Jodie meanwhile was just a bland generic Tennant/Smith clone, but hey at least that was a bland copy of the Doctor.
Ncuti however? It's so blatant that neither he nor RTD want to write or play the Doctor at all. It's not even a let's have a gay Doctor, it is literally just lets make him an avatar of Ncuti and RTD, hence why they have him blub every week, say he and his companion are like two gossipy teenage girls, have him fall in love with a guy of the week. Rogue is insanely out of character for even the new who Doctor, never mind the classic.
Moff may have had to show us he was a raging heterosexual through the Doctor, but even he never had the Doctor actually fall in love with girls of the week like Madame DePompadour or go on about how hot he found them. They'd fall in love with him and sometimes he'd eventually feel the same way after ages of bonding with them showing that he wasn't just a James Bond picking babes up. In River's case it is years before he says he loves her. Hell River doesn't learn he loves her until her last episode! Same with Jodie and Yaz, that took three years to get to Ice Cream because even in new who they know they can't just have the Doctor shag someone he/she has barely met, whilst hilariously the Tenth Doctor and Rose never shared a single kiss on screen.
Rose only kisses him when Lady Cassandra is possessing him, whilst Rose later kisses the Tennant clone not him. Similarly Clara and 11 never share a kiss. Only the Victorian Clara, and those are the biggest love stories in New Who.
Meanwhile within like 2 mins of meeting discount Captain Jack, Ncuti is all over him and kissing him and saying he loves him and crying because he fancies him so much and even contemplating marrying him. It's clearly just RTD living out a sexy fantasy, same with Ncuti calling everybody babes and so on.
In that respect I think there's a chance that Ncuti will be forgotten to be honest, by and large and people will just view New Who as trailing off. There are so many Doctors at this point thanks to New Who it's easy to see Ncuti being lost in the shuffle along with Jo Martin and the Timeless Children Doctors as all being "not proper versions" with Jodie being seen as the one who killed it.

Flux and the Series 13 specials (except Sea Devils) aren't as bad as the rest of the era. There's about three or four episodes I quite enjoy from that period. I miss Jodie and Mandip to be honest.

Again Jodie's genes, Mandip's genes, and Shobna Gulati's genes? f*ck me that child would have had the biggest nose of all time. Radhika Sanghani would have had to have played their daughter. It's funny to any passerby it would look like I'm being a dick to these 4 lovely ladies LOL, but thankfully you all know that I LOVE their big noses. I so wish I could marry Radhika she's amazing. Her nose has a fanclub too btw.

Whittaker never struck me as being an unlikeable person. She said stupid things at the time, but I don't have anything against her as a person. I'd love to meet her actually. Ncuti on the other hand is a narcissistic prat with all the acting ability of a pot noodle that's yet to be filled with hot water.

His crap is just fresher in our minds. Jodie did say stupid, confrontational things like that the show always celebrated the male gaze. that she felt alienated from the previous Doctors because they were guys, that people who don't like a female Doctors mothers would be ashamed of them and she did that outright obnoxious video where she read the tweets and made fun of them. (To be fair the people in the tweets were mocking the casting choice, so I'm not saying Jodie was being a bully, but it still came over as egocentric and a bad way to cope with it. To top it all off she also hilariously ended up insulting every prominent woman within the genre from Sigourney Weaver, to Lucy Lawless, to Lana Parilla, to Sarah Michelle Gellar with all her women will finally not just be the sidekicks, will finally get to do interesting things crap.) Again neither of them should have been let near the role. Plenty of gay men could have played the Doctor and been awesome, like Geoffrey Bayldon, and whilst I don't think a woman Doctor was ever a good idea, again if it had been Morgana Robinson or Paloma Faith, at least it would have been an entertaining, naturally eccentric ham. Still as people they both are probably decent. Removed from the political shit, Jodie seems like a Ducky, and Ncuti seems like a bubbly, fun, flirty gay guy that always cheers you up when you're feeling bad. As my friend Claudia said it's always important to see people in the culture war as full people, not just enemies you can own. That really stayed with me. Apart from Neil Patrick Harris and the c*nts who make Deadpool. Let's f*cking hang them LOL. Also Maxil I appreciate that Pot Noodle insult. I read it in Chris Barrie and Rowan Atkinson's voice haha.

It was an absolute PR disaster, but I think had his series been good and had he been a good Doctor then people would have overlooked it. I do often think a controversial casting if it's genuinely good will speak for itself. Michael Keaton, Gal Gadot, Hugh Jackman, Heath Ledger, Ben Affleck, all beloved portrayals, all were rejected by fans when they were announced. Keaton was a comedy actor, too old, too ugly and short, Gal was too skinny, Jackman too tall, handsome and nice a guy, Ledger's a bland pretty boy, Affleck too old, not a serious actor, that was what we heard from the fans. In all cases the actors and directors kept quiet because they were confident that their performances would shut people up and they did. Even though Batman Vs Superman wasn't the best, Affleck was still praised. Hell even Matt Smith got this from the point of view of he's too young. Again though he didn't say anything, or moan about you're not a real fan. He and Moffat were confident it would speak for itself and it did. Ncuti and RTD however like I said aren't even trying to capture the character. They know that people who actually like this character will be disappointed because it's not him, so they have to get in the excuse that we're just homophobic and racist. Same with Jodie though to be fair.

On a gut reaction level I probably dislike Ncuti/RTD era more, but that doesn't mean to say I'm gonna build a case for Jodie, whose era was also embarrassingly awful. I just think RTD2 is a bit more po-faced and preachy. Which I despise.

I just think RTD2 is a bit more po-faced and preachy. Which I despise. Honestly they are both just parodies, and for all the political bs very few fans think of either as the Doctor. I think the most telling thing is how vanishingly small spin off material for Jodie and Ncuti are when they were both the current Doctors. Even Hartnell was in more spin off material during his run and it basically didn't exist then. Having Ten Inch in that game with River Song was f*cking hilarious. It's like when Missy met Davros. That to me showed that nobody actually regarded her as the Master (again despite the ludicrous shit about her channelling Delgado), as nobody even mentioned, they still don't that the Master finally met Davros. That's the biggest crossover between villains you could have after Daleks vs Cybermen. Again if it had been the burned Master and Wisher or even Gooderson, or Molloy and Ainley, or Simm and Bleach, everyone would have gone crazy with excitement, but Missy? Nobody thinks of her as the Master, so it didn't even register. New Who is basically Eccelston = Capaldi, even if I despise the latter era, at least he is a proper new who Doctor. After that it's just a parody like how Batman and Robin ends the Batman series. It will be regarded as such, it pretty much is now.

Incidentally does anyone remember that fan vid that I can't seem to find of the Simm Master and Bleach together to the theme of the Pinky and the Brain?
It was hilarious. Obviously the Master was the Pinky and Davros was the brain haha. I remember Simm being dubbed with the line "what do we do tonight" and Davros saying "Same thing we do every night, try to take over the world."
The lyric "one is a genius the other INSANE" also went brilliantly with them, though to be fair Davros is insane and the Master is also a genius, but still.
I saw more people talk about this mash up than the actual Davros/Master meeting we got. Again what does that tell you?
