Was Heaven Sent really as great as all that? I mean compared to its dire sequel it was, but the strong location and premise was ruined by the Doctor behaving like a spoilt teenager “I’m SO alone!”, the lame resolution and the reappearance of Miss Smug Chops. All the usual flaws of the Moffat/Capaldi era… It's funny I remember Adrian Edmondson slagging Heaven Sent off on twitter when it aired. writing "Oh god we just got rid of her and she's back AGAIN". Really - he’s openly criticised Nu Who? Not many celebs do - if so he just went up even further in my estimation! I genuinely can’t think of a finale I enjoyed. Any attempt at telling a story, which was difficult enough in 1 episode, was replaced by a 2nd episode to contain all the bombast and empty spectacle. Not my style of sci-if at all! |

The Wedding of River Song is the most boring. Every RTD finale felt like event television, but this was a forgettable bag of nothing. We all know Moffat doesn't have the balls to kill the Doctor in his second series as showrunner so why bother even pretending for the whole series? Series 6 is absolute jizz. "Someone WILL die this series..." We can only assume it was Moffat's imaginary friend. I believe her name was Caroline... She didn't merely die she was ERASED from Doctor Who possibly by a time crack. |

The only thing I'd add to The Doctor Falls is this line: "The Nemesis, how you all fell into that one!" when he's talking about the times he defeated them.
