Lol, I've always rated McGann. I like how he doesn't jizz all over the modern stuff like some of the other actors do.

Nicola copped out altogether though. It's a bit of a strange panel. They don't seem to have much chemistry. Eccleston is a great guy from what I've seen, but I never feel as if he fits in with the other Who stars. That's just the way I see it, though.

I have Eccleston's autograph somewhere. I didn't meet him, but my sister was able to speak to him while he was filming something in London. He asked her if I was a big fan and she said that I was, but only of the older stuff. I'm glad she didn't say, "he thinks you're a bit crap in the role" lol. As I said, a nice guy.

I get the impression he doesn't know that much about it. I seem to recall that when he was cast he said he didn't really watch it when he was growing up or anything. Despite his issues with Davies and other members of the production team, he seems quite happy to praise Gatwah. Perhaps he's the only one he knows about. lol

My read on Eccleston is that he's very righteous. He doesn't care about Dr Who, so he uses the question as an oppurtunity to give the current lead a boost. That's his idea of doing a 'service' to the programme and the fans.
Colin has grown into a cuddly Santa, who just wants to spread rainbows and happiness.
McGann gives the most sincere answer.

In one interview Eccleston said he knew about Pertwee and liked his portrayel and he said he tried to add that air of authority to the role he said he only watched a few dalek stories in a interview when asked If he watched any Doctor Who.

This reminds me of this one cringe interview I watched in the leadup to No Time To Die where the cast, literally sitting around Daniel Craig, are asked who their favourite 007 is and all of them say Daniel Craig. FFS.

FFS. I find that at least believable, given how popular Casino Royale and Skyfall were and how he was regarded as returning to Fleming's style in some aspects.
