I don't really know how the Davo stories are rated apart from Caves, so I'll use this as an excuse to rank them. A few key differences, but not radically different.
My bottom four are there because I find them really boring.
I mean Warriors is shit but it's oddly entertaining even if it's a car crash, but it's still better than boring.
It fact I might edit it to swap places with Planet of Fire. That doesn't do anything for me either.

I supposethe other main differences are Time-Flight and Terminus.
Terminus I like the atmosphere of it, and Time-Flight is quite esoteric in its own way. Neither are gems, but I'm quite forgiving of them, and find both mildly enjoyable.

I don't find any Davison story to be offensively bad, but it's easily the weakest run in classic Who and basically voids the first half of the 80s for me

The only period of 80s Who I don't like is 1986. Trial is just poor television to me, something that can't be said of Enlightenment or Caves of Androzani.

Even Androzani I think I would enjoy more with Colin or Tom. Davison just never clicked with me for whatever reason

The only period of 80s Who I don't like is 1986. Trial is just poor television to me, something that can't be said of Enlightenment or Caves of Androzani. I would've loved to see the original season 23. Trial was a disaster in just about every metric. |

24 and 23 are my worst seasons.
I find Davo a bit bland and a bit too humanistic as the Doctor; I much prefer Colin. But I think Colin had worse stories than Davison did. Most of Davo's aren't top tier, but they're mostly watchable. Whereas Colin really has only two stories that I give that much of a shit about. His BF output is so much better, but Davo is still bland in BF.
