Buying this. Absolutely pumped to complete my favourite era on Blu ray.

Out of the 3 most likely candidates (6, 7, 25), this is probably the one I was least hoping for. Still, the completionist in me is excited that the 80s are almost done. The lack of any Troughton is stark, though. I do understand that the 80s sets are easier to produce, what with the cast members all being alive and up for it, all the video elements being intact and easily accessible, the abundant special features filmed way back in the 80s for television, being more salable in general than some dusty 60s stories that are half-missing; but I'd love some 60s Who sets. Does seem like season 6 might be next though given that a crew were spotted filming outside St. Paul's.

I think S11 could be next. Or it could be wishful thinking on my part. S6 would be nice, but I wonder what they'll do about Space Pirates...

I can't stand those godawful animations. It really cheapens the medium imo.

Yes unfortunately they've been going downhill for quite a few years now, but I still think initial ones were really good. The Invasion, Moonbase, and Tenth Planet, worked really well IMO.

Great news. Surprised by them all getting new FX and seems rather unnecessary too save maybe Silver Nemesis. Glad we're finally getting the extended version and the US making of on shiny discs too. October though? So still just 2 a year. We'll all be dead by the time they're finished. And why oh why does Russell The Degenerate have to muscle in on these sets? The only connection this asshat has to the McCoy era is being rejected as not being good enough to write for it.

I like parts of NuWho well enough, but I can't stand how they insert it into the special features on these sets. The Terror of the Autons making-of documentary spent most of the time talking about Rose Tyler and f*cking Donna Noble.

It drives me up the bloody wall. I'm sure it's sheer spite and bloodymindedness too as they must know that large swathes of classic fans don't want anything to do with the new series anymore.

Seriously. I wanna hear Katy Manning tell stories about Roger Delgado and the Nestenes, not Phil Collinson blabbing on about the modern show that has barely anything to do with the serial other than "this story introduced a new female companion, like Rose and Donna".

Is there a documentary that exposes all the things RTD stole from this era that he took credit for?

£55 is still a lot of money for only four stories regardless of how many versions there are. I'm obviously going to buy it, but I think they're taking the piss a bit. At least with Season 20 there were three more stories.
