According to the official DWM poll, Hell Bent is listed separately from Heaven Sent instead of being paired with it. For this reason I'm going to do the same. Anyone who complains about that will get a slap.
Anyway, Pandorica/Big Bang for me. I LOVED the Pandorica Opens at the time and the ending was the ultimate "holy shit" moment. I did and still do like The Big Bang, but I don't love it quite so much as the first part.

Pandorica/Big Bang for me, it's the true ending of RTD's era of Nu Who for me despite Russel being gone. It felt like the peak of the whole thing, there was still a wide audience, the stories were still smart. I look at the open ended stuff as a more high-stakes "come on Ace" moment at the end. Doctor Who could have went on hiatus on a high and Matt would easily have been my second favourite Nu Doctor.
I actually like Hell Bent, probably Nu Who's best Time Lord story and pissed off all the Whovians who fell in love with the myth of Gallifrey to the point they were raging at how The Doctor treats being back on his home world and not caring enough to stay there and lead this big budget red wedding revolution against Rassilon they had mapped out in their heads.

I wasn't aware Doctor Who continued past 2010

Name of the Doctor isn't too bad. Lots of nice references in that. Wedding of River Song meanwhile is shit. I hated it at the time especially after the previous year's finale. It just felt so underwhelming. The worst story of the bunch however is... well, you know which one it is.

Name of the Doctor isn't too bad. Lots of nice references in that. Why is this such a consistent benchmark for you? I actively hate references and callbacks.

Yeah, but at least Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS reminded everyone that the eye of harmony from the TV movie was still included, that was a worse callback than Stewie's i-pod commercial...

Pandorica. Although I'm still very meh about it. Frankly, I'll never watch any of these again.

The end of the Pandorica Opens is beautifully tragic. I sometimes moan about Murray Gold's music being too bombastic, but the music he composes for the scene is gorgeous. I remember as a kid wondering how the Doctor was going to win this time. It was the biggest tragedy of the day until Rob Green made a howler against the USA in our opening World Cup game about an hour later

Sorry to turn this into yet another boner thread, but River Song is seriously hot. She does quite a lot for me actually.
