First story Fire of the Daleks. Figured I might as well post these again. After the shit last night I am suddenly filled with confidence. I mean I'm not saying mine's is fantastic, but at least I didn't have a monster made from snot, musical numbers, panto dame villains, or farts powering spaceships. I thought not having those was a low bar for a DW story, but I was wrong.
ACTUAL Doctor Who type stories made in the 21st century. If a wanker like me can at least attempt, why can't uber fan, RTD do it? Oh no wait if he did then DW wouldn't be popular among the young kids who love Myspace, X-Factor, and Twilight.

I don't think it would be a good idea to get someone from classic who to do one of my stories. As mine is basically an alternative to new who then that could get them in hot water with Big Finish LOL. Best I think to not drag them into that. |

You've created an entire universe, which is no mean feat. But for me as a Dr Who fan, this is my favourite. There could easily be novel sized story in this. It's great stuff. Feels like proper Who.

Thanks so much for the kind words. I can't wait to get Scratchman uploaded. It's my favourite out of anything I've written, though to be fair I didn't write it haha, Tom Baker and Ian Marter did and it was always a really good idea for a story. I just hope people don't think I'm trying to emulate RTD by making it a bit supernatural. Mine's isn't actually hell, just a funky alien from another universe, but yeah it could be seen as that. Rest assured there is no musical number, though if there was this song would be hilarious. You can't beat Voltaire for insane songs and insane song titles. |
