He isn't in my top 5. I don't care how popular he is, he's not as interesting to me. His Doctor exists 99% of the time just to amuse Tom Baker. I never really care about what happens to him because he's too busy being a weird alien goof to be relatable in any way. 

EDIT: Which isn't to say that I dislike or don't admire him. It's just that he falls short compared to some of the other actors whom I adored... including Eccleston.

That is true, but my opinion on Tom is still quite genuine. I get why he's special, it's just never been my favourite type of Doctor. I gravitate towards the stern/authoritarian type.

EDIT: When I 'just say stupid things', I make it abundantly clear with teasing/emojis etc. I've never lied about my fondness for Eccleston/early New Who and I'm frankly disappointed someone would think that.
