You're seriously comparing this crap to Shakespeare? The length, not the content. It's still a false comparison. Dialogue in plays should be longer as well you can't exactly toss in a chase scene can you? Also in Shakespeare long dialogue is often a character expressing their innermost turmoil, and it's written almost as a form of poetry. This is in a tv show and is nothing but a clumsy, overcomplicated, blandly written piece of exposition. Seriously Dhawan was a champ. Tom Baker would have thrown it across the room and said I'm not doing that shit.

I said what I said!
At least I can laugh at how shit Timeless Children is. That, and it's short.

I watched Image of the Fendahl yesterday, yeah a lot of it is bollocks but it has some quite arresting imagery and I would gladly listen to Tom Baker reading a phone book for hours before I would Jodie Whittaker reading...anything.

Honestly he's just being contrarian again. The idea that anything in Image of the Fendahl, which at its worst is just a fairly cheesy, not very well put together piece of tv is worse than the Timeless Children baffles me. Yeah opinions and all that, but Timeless Children actively tore up the entire backstory of a character that was 60 years old and evidently trashed the entire show for both fans and the public alike to the point where it arguably will never recover (without some sort of reboot, alternate sequel etc.) I mean seriously the Timeless Children was over 4 years ago now. Can you believe that? Longer than most Doctors eras, almost as long as Jon Pertwee's era. We've had two changes of lead actor since then, including one who was allegedly the most popular evah (to be fair he was among the young crowd.) Yet it still hasn't been able to recover its lost viewers. Yeah I don't think Fendahl is in that league even if you find it boring. (Personally I thought it was okay.)

It's not that Fendahl is worse, it's that it's less watchable and the undeserved praise people lavish on it baffles me.
None of it makes any f*cking sense. It's like listening to a drunk person. "And then this evil sofa went back in time and landed in a puddle and that made humans develop and that's why we invented sofas and unconsciously built a virus in each one to fight this alien monster because we were weaponised by the twelve Time Lords and that's why men have nipples.. "
Thank God B7 prevented Boucher from writing supernatural sci-fi

To be honest, I'm one of the people that would love to see a live action Paternoster Gang spin off. Anything to have Victorian London be the main setting. I know they've done a Big Finish series and Jago from Talons appears in one.

Strax is just a clown designed to make tiny tots giggle at da funny man on da telly screen. Sorry I never bought Jenny and Vastra's romance, despite my appreciation of how lowkey they did it compared to someone like Bill who mentions her lesbianism in every goddamn breath she takes and Yaz whose "romance" with the Doctor was just laughable. It never struck me as a compelling team dynamic, yeah they worked as window-dressing in one or two stories but Moffat knew when to retire them.

Yep, I can't abide that shite. They are another NuWhoism that just took the show even further into jokeland.
