Last week, a rumour appeared on reddit claiming that work was set to begin on an eight part drama which would see John Simm reprise his role as The Master

An unnamed, 8-part, high-end TV drama based in Cardiff has several openings to start in May and June for Production Accountant, 2 Production Assistants, Production Secretary, Travel and Accommodation Coordinator and Assistant Production Coordinator.
Here's what the rumour had claimed in full:
One of the first spin-offs planned will star John Simm returning as the Master
He won't be the Saxon master technically but the Master taking that form again before handing over the role to a new actor. It was teased with the Toymakers tooth, but everyone understandably took this just as a tease for the Masters eventual return in the main show. But.. no that was your first tease for the spin-off. 8 episodes and It will be far darker than the main show and will feature episodes where the Master even works with Kate and U.N.I.T against a common enemy.
I know a variant of weeping angels that look different will feature in an episode. There will be daemons too returning for the first time in many years and Japanese mythology Kappa-like Silurian subspecies baddies and I believe this episode will be set in Japan and feature the Japanese U.N.I.T division who will also appear on the main show.. I do know the main antagonist will be Osiran related baddie but not Sutekh. The Master will be paired with a teenage MENA actress who will be connected to this ancient Osiran threat and who is like 11 in stranger things, the Master will bond with her and end up protecting her against nefarious human and alien groups after her. Given this Masters connection to David Tennant my source is quite confident 14 will make an appearance. RTD also wants to bring back Missy in some capacity but it won't be in this show.
As always take with a grain of salt, but the Mirror will for sure mention this in the coming months and John Simm's return will be marketed heavily once Ncuti's first season concludes airing in order to give the main show the full spot light.
