Reminds me of every new James Bond actresses claiming they are the first strong, female character the series has ever had. Yeah, lets see them in a fight with Grace Jones and Pussy Galore.

They had two companions with the Doctor in the last bloody series! Jodie Whittaker with Mandip Gill and John Bishop. How do you even make that atrocious of an oversight?
In other news, looks like the rumours that Millie had been canned for season 2 were false.

WTF. Two companions was practically the norm for most of the Moffat era, let alone the proper show. Are these people "challenged"?

The more likely answer is that, as with the Chibbs era, many people involved with DisWho are either not fans, haven't re-watched much or just don't care.
You'd find more passion for Doctor Who in a piss-stained gutter then in the actual production team at this point.

Oh, and the actual reason they announced this is because this week they're filming the 2025 finale so they'll be seen together

"Never before has the Doctor had two companions at once; time for double the fun!”
Sounds a bit dirty. The 15th Doctor is a bit of a pimp.

It's also I hate to say like Primeval, which after its revival filmed two seasons at once. I remember Rani taunting Rob over that saying "good way to avoid cancellation, make lots of series at once." Well Rob can now laugh that New Who is in that situation LOL. I know Primeval got there first, but to be fair the first cancellation only happened because of the recession, and DW is a global brand too, but even with that advantage it still sunk like the Titanic.

They're not filming two seasons at once though? I was under the impression that filming for series 14 took place last year, and series 15's filming is taking place now. They'll be in the last stages of post on 14 by now.

They just shoot them one after another before the first season has even aired.
