Another choice for Jadis? Alison King. I know I'm kind of running through women I fancy now LOL, but hear me out. She is GORGEOUS. I mean really, inhumanly beautiful. Also she has that raven haired temptress look, even if she isn't particularly tall. I was reminded of how good she was, when I by chance stumbled upon Corrie the other day. Her step mother and the new femme fatale of the street have stolen money that was stolen from Carla by a crook and used it to buy the pub and have kept it from her for months. When she found out, f*ck me was she pissed and it was hilarious. I'd love to see her channel that rage into the Queen of Narnia. Honestly Alison King is a bit wasted. I mean yeah she became a big star and a sex symbol thanks to Corrie and believe me I'm grateful. Honestly however with her talent and quite unusually gorgeous looks she should have been a Hollywood star. Shame she only got a bloody Steven Segal movie. Still here's hoping she gets to play Jadis even just in an animated series. LOL to me Jadis and Davros are the top two roles an actress or an actor should aspire too haha. f*ck Shakespeare, why bother with that flowery language when as Jadis and Davros you can wipe out your own species?

Reading this makes me wonder whether we'll ever get a truly great Davros appearance again. A reasonable part of me doubts it.

Or a Davros appearance in general, because for some reason New Who avoids him like the plague.

It makes sense to reserve him for special occasions. I disagree with that. I don't think Davros is nearly as relevant as the Master. Terry Nation brought him back because he thought that giving Daleks a lot of dialogue made them boring. He's an accessory. He's still a top tier baddie, don't get me wrong, but it makes no sense to reserve him and not the Master, Daleks, Cybermen etc. EDIT: And even if that was the case, having one appearance per decade is surely scrimping a little

Brian Thompson's Night Slasher character from Cobra is great. He looks so hellish at 1:32
Anyone who has seen the movie will never forget the Slasher's knife. What a work of art.

Dark Zagi In an alternate universe from the main Showa era timeline, monster known as Space Beasts haunted the universe. Unlike the kaiju of other universes, Space Beasts are a collectively malevolent race who feed and grow stronger upon the terror they inflict on other lifeforms. In the M80 Nebulas a race of jellyfish like aliens that humans would come to call “the Visitors” had their planet ravaged by the monsters, but were eventually save by a giant of light known as Ultraman Noa. After Noa departed the visitors desired to create a weapon to protect home world just as the giant had, and turning all their technological ability to the task, they would create a copy of Ultraman Noa, with the ability to counter the ever evolving Space Beasts via “self-evolution”. What exactly went wrong is not known, but it’s speculated that “Ultroid Zagi” was aware of it’s statues as a copy from the moment of it’s activation. This resentment twisted Zagi into a dark mockery of Noa, coming to view peace as boring. He eventually turned on his creators, going so far as us his ability to self-evolve to incorporate aspects and characteristics of the Space Beasts into himself. He would then build and army of the beasts and lay waste to his creators home world. In a final act of desperation the Visitors caused their own sun to go supernova, destroying their home, Zagi and his army in the process. The Visitors would then migrate to earth hope the threat of “Dark Zagi” had been ended, but this was not the case. While his body was destroyed Dark Zagi still existed in an energy form. Burning with hatred for his creators and knowing that the supernova would eventually cause Space Beast Particles to travel to earth, Zagi made his way to the green, blue planet. On Earth Zagi would begin possessing humans hosts and infiltrate the TLT (Terrestrial Liberation Trust), a secret military organisation co-founded by the Visitors. He would also come to learn that Ultraman Noq, in a de-evolved state, was also on earth. It was then that Zagi began to build his master plan. It would be hard to go over all of Zagi’s plan in order as it covers the entirety of a 40+ episode series so I’ll summarise. Zagi needed the power Noa to resurrect himself, but with the giant of light in a weakened state that was not possible. What Zagi needed was to make his hated progenitor stronger, while also insuring that Noa possessed a host suitable to Zagi’s needs. His primary pawns were the now emerging Space Beasts. By having them attack earth and draw out Noa, now Ultraman Nexus’ power. At first the Space Beasts only attacked isolated in isolated areas but over time their assaults would steadily grew in scale to put further pressure on Ultraman Nexus. Then there were the Dark Giants, humans who would be turned into Ultraman-like being to better serve his more complex needs. The first Was Dark Mephisto who had originally been an a member of the Night Raiders, the TLT’s Anti-Space Beast task force and had also been a potential host for Nexus (a Dunamist) but had turned away from the light due to fear. Then there was Dark Faust, an ordinary women who’s family was slaughtered by Mephisto and she was forcibly turned into a dark giant. While Mephisto was an active servant of Zagi, Faust was seen as nothing more then a doll and when not in battle they returned to their human form, living in the delusion that her family were still alive. While the dark giants were a powerful threat to Nexus and Earth, they served a much more subtle purpose also. Mephisto had been close to another, female member of the Night Raiders, Nagi Saijyo. She, like him, was another potential Dunamist, and his betray sowed the seeds of a bitter hatred in her heart. Faust, prior to her family’s murder, had met and fallen in love with a man called Kazuki Komon. Like Saijyo, Komon was also a potential Dunamist and was predicted to be drafted into the Night Raiders by Mephisto. Faust’s very creation was purely part of a grander plan to inflict sever psychological trauma on Komon. Saijyo and Komen were both potential hosts for Nexus, now tainted by darkness and ready to be exploited by Zagi, though Komon would not break no matter what happened. Neither Dark Giant would live for long under Zagi’s service however, Faust was killed in combat (a fact that only served Zagi’s interests) and Mephisto would turn his back on his master, only to be killed by a more powerful clone of himself. When Ultraman Nexus separated from his third host, the light would eventually pass to Saijyo. It was then that Zagi struck. In human form he made his way to Level 0 of the TLT’s Japan branch to gain access to Visitor technology stored there. When Saijyo attempted to use Nexus’ power, Zagi exploited the rage in her heart to steal Nexus’ energy. This combined with the Visitors’ Technology, allowed Dark Zagi to be fully resurrected. Zagi had however, made a critical error. In his attempt to push Komon into madness, Zagi had inadvertently strengthened the young man’s spirit and resolve. The light would then pass to Komon, who was able to fully unleash it’s power and Nexus was able to return to his higher form, Ultraman Noa. In their battle Zagi proved to be exactly the thing that had twisted his mind since his creation, an inferior copy of Noa and was obliterated by the giant of light. In terms of abilities Zagi, in his true form, has all the standard types of powers an Ultra would have. He is incredibly strong, fast and durable even for a being of his size and is able to further augment his abilities his own dark energy. He can fly, is able to unleash a variety of energy attacks, create barriers and even possesses psychic abilities. Abilities unique to him however are the ability to control and even fuse Space Beasts together, create other dark giants and is even able to generate a Dark Field G, this is a sub-space that entraps his enemies and weakens them, while also strengthening his minions. In combat Zagi appears more like a rampaging beast then a highly intelligent foe, but this is like because he actively embraces his darker nature and wishes to be nothing like Noa.

Chaos Header The Primary antagonist of Ultraman Cosmos, Chaos Header, also known as the Chaos Organism and the Light Virus, is an artificial lifeform created by an alien race to preserve order and peace. Sadly Chaos Header misunderstood it's mission, coming to believe that power and destruction were necessary to achieve it's new order. It then began rampaging through the universe, destroying worlds in it quest and eventually made it's way to earth. Chaos Header is not unlike Master Mold from the X-Men 90s series. When programed to protect humanity from mutants, Master Mold naturally couldn't see the difference (as Mutant ARE humans) and so deduced that humanity needed protecting from itself. The name Chaos Header is not it's original designation, this was in fact the earth defence force's code name for the being and it simple adopted the name. in it's true form, Chaos Header is merely as mass of glowing particles, suggesting that it may be some form of highly advanced nano-machines functioning under and A.I. though this is never fully understood. While it has a number of abilites in it's true form, it's primary ability is being able to infect other living being like a virus. Primarily targeting monsters, Chaos Header causes them to go berserk, mutate and become even more powerful. Chaos Kaiju will often have deformed heads, the origin of Chaos Header's name. Once it has infected a monster, Chaos Header can then create clones of them from itself. It has very little care for the creatures it infects, abandoning them to their fate or even killing them itself if it has not need of them. The form in the image above is when Chaos Header begins manifesting an original form of it's own, it began doing this after infecting a human and began to learn of the concept of hate. Chaos Header would also begin studying it's nemesis, Ultraman Cosmos, and would eventually create a manifestation based on him. Chaos Ultraman. Chaos Ultraman is not the first evil clone of an Ultra, but he is note worthy as being the first to be more powerful than the original. After a huge battle from the moon to the earth, Cosmos and the monster of earth were able to defeat Chaos Header, not by destroying it, but helping it to understand the error of it's logic. It would then be able to return it it's original form and go on to revive a world it had destroyed, turning it into a paradise for humans and monsters alike.

Another fantastic, though boring choice for Jadis would be Lady Gaga herself. She does play crazies well, can be very pompous, extremely hammy and over the top and is strikingly beautiful. Also think of the fun she would have with Jadis' clothes and look. f*ck me can't believe I haven't thought of that before.
Only problem is she is surprisingly small. Only 5 foot 2 apparently, but to be fair Barbara Kellerman was short too, and there are ways around that like making Tom Hardy look like a big bastard. I'd love to see Gaga hamming it up for the "HOW DARE YOU COME ALONE!" scene. I don't think anyone can top Barbara for hamminess for that though LOL.
Incidentally Rushy the other day when I was having a Gaga watch through, I saw that Norman Reedus, Daryl himself was once one of Lady Gaga's bitch boys LOL in the Judas video. She even puts lipstick on him at one point. Good thing Meryl didn't see that.
Apparently they were an item at least according to the press at that point. My respect for him went up after hearing that haha.
I bet you though Hollywood would cast Margot Robbie as Jadis and she would take it over and make it into a story about how empowering Jadis is for women, and how men have made her this awful, and she would also do a big bit about how Aslan is the real villain because he's a man, and he has a Lioness do all of his work for him that Jadis bonds with over men stealing their work, and she would also make out how awful it is that everybody finds Jadis beautiful in the story, whilst oversexualizing the character to an insane extent.

What's ironic about that is that RTD's own wheelchair bound John Lumic is way more of a stereotypical mustache-twirling villain than Davros ever was. He blamed other people for how they depicted disabled people back in the 70s yet never said anything about his "mwhaha how will you do that FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE?" disabled villain in 2006.

Sorry I just realised I did this thread twice LOL. God I really am a tedious bore looking through these posts. How you guys put up with me I'll never know. Anyway the other day my niece and nephew came up and I showed my niece old action figures of Venom and Carnage and she LOVED them. Carnage in particular she kept saying "I like him, I like Carnage". And she got upset when I tried to take it away haha. We also played clips of the animated series of Venom and Carnage fighting and she was so enthralled. Honestly I have never met a kid that didn't absolutely love Venom and Carnage. They are like the Daleks, and Tyrannosaurus Rex, in that kids just seem drawn to them instantly. They'll start playing with figures of them, want to know everything about them, start doing impressions of them, pretend to be them when playing with friends etc. I remember being like that all those years ago when I first saw the intro to Spider-Man TAS and saw Venom roaring and salivating and instantly wanted to know what he was all about, above all the other villains. Again to think that Sam Raimi, a f*cking horror director, monster movie guy, didn't see ANY potential in these two villains, and wanted to have Vulture, an old man in a nappy and Adam West style Vulture costume played by an absolute arse like John Malkovich instead? Then again Bob Holmes hated the Daleks as well. Nobody's perfect.

Dementus Have you ever met a villain so great, you wish he was the main character? Dementus is this for me. Now Furiosa as a film is easily the weakest of all the mad max movies and honestly thats because it focuese on a character who is never made that intreasting in my eyes. It's antagonist is another story. Through Dementus we see the rise and fall of tyrant, a man who is already broken spiraling down to the depths of mental hell as he rises to power, the falls. When we first meet Dementus he is an almost messianic figure, leading a gang of thugs. He is clearly a man to be feared and is clearly off his nut, but at the same time through there is still something human their. His adopting of Furiosa clearly indicates that his there is still some lingering good in him. He is also clearly successful, building an army bigger then most, and is likely greater in standing then Humongous and would easily attack Bartertown if he came across is. A key aspect of the character is his changing of titles. While he keeps the name Dementus, he will add some addition to it over the course of his life and they will often reflect his mental state. He soon takes on his first new title as "The Red Dementus" after literally being cover in red from a "Blood Explosion". It's at this point that Dementus clearly is hungry for more then he once had. An angry, blood thirsty need need is now upon him and he descided to challenge the biggest bad in the whole wasteland. The Immortan Joe. In this clash of an would-be-king and an established one, Dementus loses out as Joe's army of fanatical followers give him a noticable edge. Not willing to give-up his dreams of conquest, Dementus eventually succeed in taking over Gastown, a pretty significant victory as this is the life blood of Joe's empire. Eventually Dementus is able to force Joe to parlay, threatening to blow up Gastown is he doesn't, yet even here Dementus proves the lesser of two tyrants. For all Dementus' bluster and threats, Joe effortlessly places himself on the superior end of the arrangement and sets Dementus up to fail. It is also here that Furiosa parts with Dementus of her own free will, clearly much to Dementus' destress and honestly I feel that this is symbolic of his loss of humanity. Declaring himself now "The Great Dementus, Lord Guardian of Gastown". We sadly do not spend time with Dementus at all during this period, which is a shame. We do however quickly learn were this road lead him. Years later we see "the Dark Dementus", older, gray, blatantly madder and sporting much darker attire then befor. Most telling his that is once, white, stained red cape is now slowly being overtaken with black. A reflection of both his life and broken mind. Joe's ploy has worked, the food Dementus is being payed in is not enough to support his followers and unrest is high, to the point the people of Gastown are openly revolting, some of Dementus' top warriors have broken off from him and Dementus is forced to take harsher, and harsher measures to maintain control. With no other options Dementus must begin open conflict with Joe. Unfortunately for him and despite some early victories, Joe proves to be to much for Dementus and he left with nothing. As Furiosa closes in for her revenge by the stories end, we see that Dementus really has lost everything and there is nothing in this man but his own darkness. The quote that that best suites him by the end of the film is one that is both overused, not always understood and wrongly applied but I feel it fits well here. "Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair!"

He was pretty much the only great part of Furiosa precisely because he wasn't just a retread of something we'd seen done better in Fury Road.
For a franchise that pretty much defined itself by its ability to be completely different in each film, I'm shocked that Miller went so continuity heavy on Furiosa.
The sad thing is that even if he gets to make another Mad Max, it will ALSO be a prequel to Fury Road.
