Some smashing archive material here. Everyone involved seemed so sincere. Mark Pillow looked like he was having an absolute ball although he didn't look like he was used to the cold weather of England.
It really saddens me it all went wrong. It also saddens me such a gentle figure like Reeve is gone. So well spoken and a man of solid principles.

I got a strike on my account a few months back. It's a fair cop I suppose since I was uploading full episodes of a sitcom which later got deleted. The thing that bothers me is that the sitcom isn't on any physical media, isn't available to stream, isn't shown on television and is only watchable through old thirty year old recordings which I only managed to get from a bunch of DVD-Rs I bought off a site. Funnily enough, there's about fifteen episodes of it on there now (out of forty odd) but none of them were uploaded by me. Anything beyond episode fifteen or sixteen is almost always taken down.
I would go back into making Doctor Who tributes, but I no longer have the software nor a laptop with a disc drive.

Yeah that shit pisses me right off. It's one thing when they're available, quite another when they can't be arsed to release it yet go around like bulls in a china shop claiming ownership when someone else does. There's such a thing as responsible ownership. If you can't be arsed, up the pirates I say!

Very frustrating for genuine fans. Can I ask which sit-com is was?

Though I'm not into doing illegal stuff, I think archiving and preserving rare or forgotten shows and movies is an admirable thing to do if the studio can't be bothered to release them. It was My Sister Sam, the short-lived 80s sitcom starring Pam Dawber and Rebecca Schaeffer. It's not a comedy classic or anything, but I like it for its 80s vibes. If we're not careful things will just end up disappearing. That's why I live and die by physical media.

Isn't there a statistic that about 70-80% (possibly even more) of movies and TV shows that came out on VHS were never given a DVD release or something crazy? It's probably a similar percentage from DVD to Blu Ray as well. And imagine how many were never put on VHS in the first place. There is so much stuff out there that is basically lost to time even if the original media is still intact.

Sadly, Season 2 is mostly missing but Season 1 is all there save for two episodes. I always thought the first season was far better, anyway. I can't appreciate TV archivists enough. They're pratically saving things from being lost to time forever.

I often wonder what happened to all their stock. I used to buy Network's Hale and Pace DVDs. They only released Series 1-4, and Series 1,3 and 4 are now out of print. I did ask them if they had plans to release the other series (there are ten in total), but they said they didn't. Funnily enough, you can actually buy the whole show from an Australian DVD make. I don't mind buying Region 4 DVDs if they're not released over here.

I suppose it's what you'd expect for 10 series. Never realised they went for that long!

It's 2 dollars to a quid, near enough. So that's about £16.50.

The Australian version is listed on Amazon at £49.99 from a Aussie seller called Two Laughing Dogs. That's mental if you can get it that much cheaper from the AU website. Shipping probably costs a fortune, though.

Did you see my second reply? I converted the wrong way round, so it's £16.50.
