I'm so EXCITED because we're at the GRAND FINAL of the MOST CRAP NuPooh Story!!!
I've taken the top two pur pur pur positioned stories of each era which got 5 votes or over to compile this final pur pur pur poll!

Okay, seeing as we're at the Final, I've now unpinned the previous era semi-finals and pinned this one which will be left open.
I went for:
Twice Upon A Time - because this was the most insulting abuse of ClassicWho fans ever. Although ones like Dark Water etc are incomprehensible rubbish, never before was there quite a story so scathing toward the long-term viewer, It said "Haw haw, all you ClassicWho fans are sexist dinosaurs - we don't need you!" with it's insulting and inaccurate portrayal of the First Doctor and that's before we even get to the canon breaking stupidness of Regeneration being changed to Regenderation for no damn reason at all. This was the story which finally made me decide, "I'm through with this crap"
Arachnids In The UK - I haven't seen this, only clips, so I know its a completely moronic pile of rubbish without watching it. Taking a relatively good special effect of some spiders and undermining it completely with a bunch of vacuous cretins miming Stormzy is about the most cretinous you can get.
Ascension Of The Cybermen/The Timeless Children - Once again, I haven't seen this, only clips and know a synopsis of the story. It sounds like the biggest load of self-loathing fanwank imaginable which could only have been cobbled together by egotistic Michael Grade sympathizing second rate hack - oh look, it was!
Give me Pip and Jane Baker over this drivel any day of the week.

Well, these are all worthy candidates, so i can't complain. But it's boringly obvious that Jodie and Chibbers and going to walk away with the shite trophy and that Timeless Children is going to be the champ. If only they were just slightly less shit, this might be something resembling a competition.
It speaks volumes about the current shambolic state of the show when the later Smith shite can't even get a look-in...

The Dark Water 2parter (even though I've not seen more than 2 minutes of part2) for the start of the canon-wrecking gender swapping BS, and TUAT and Timeless Children. Never seen either of them, but I know what they did and f*ck you too.

And yet for my money; I question why Arachnids? Yes, As the shittest story of Whittaker's first season; I voted for it to be here. But is it really THAT much worse than the vast majority of Chibbers' output? I say No. Whilst they are all terrible; Acension/Timeless is the one that did the one that dealt the killer blow to DW. As did TUAT before it. But the first strike was surely Dark Water/Death in Heaven. When you think what these three stories did; starting with Missy and Cyberbrig; is Arachnids really on the same level? Again, I say No. In that context, Arachnids is a wasted vote. |

Okay, you convinced me. Changed my vote from Arachnids to DW/DIH. You're correct in the DW/DIH is singularly more damaging to the franchise than the merely moronic Arachnids is. |

It brought depth, maturity and nuance to this tired old sexist franchise and Gomez channelled Delgado better than anyone, though she was also brilliant because she smashed everything DW is supposed to be at the same time. You just have issues with women gammon. |

Shite Upon A Crime. it does nobody any favours, just more "men sexist, lesbos/women wear the crown in England, ain't that brilliant?", it's not fir for purpose as a finale for the 1963-2017 crowd. You're better off thinking Husbands of River Song or Hell Bent is the ending, or Heaven Sent if you don't mind the cliffhanger.
Ascension is actually pretty tight as the first half of something, and all the ambiguous Ireland parts are well shot, it's Timely Twaddle that gets the lions share of the crap. The whole time The Doctor is just a victim in her own story believing everything a 'reputable source' like The Master would say, it takes an enigma like Ruth to pull her out of her funk also.
She feels like a companion learning these truths about herself, not the main character. She's such a damsel. Little wonder why people would have less of a headache with the retcon if it happened to be a time lord companion like Romana or whatnot.
