You guys really should check this show out. A few bumps in the road with the animation, but episodes 1-3 and especially 5 are some of the best work Marvel have put out in years....and not just Marvel Studios, this spans comics, movies, and tv shows.

I'm honestly just not that big of an X-Men fan in all honesty. I did love the films, have read some of the comics, and some of the cartoons, so I'm obviously not allergic to them or anything LOL, but at the same time if there's a new X-Men thing out I'm not absolutely obsessed with chasing it down. Still I have heard good things. Claudia said she and her brother cried at watching it they were so moved.
Glad Marvel fans are getting something that works at least and not all revivals have to be shit.

Episode 6 was much weaker, the Storm storyline worked better than it did last time and at least Ororo's ditched the mohawk, she looks exactly like her 70s presentation now with the black cape and tiara. True goddess energy. We also learn Mr. Sinister was behind the Genosha attack last week, and Professor X has finally entered the story.

The finale was a bumper 40 or so minutes this week, and as much as they crammed it full of stuff it, it still left you desiring more and yearning for some missed tricks
The first half had to give us Phoenix fanservice, then get it out of the way, give us Jean's revenge on Sinister....then get it out of the way, insert most of the Marvel Animation Universe dealing with the restoration of power and the rise of the Prime Sentinels...and get the latter out of the way. Then dedicate the lion's share of the episode to one final big boss battle and the cliffhanger set up for season two
Poor Logan, we see him recuperating but he's bed-ridden the whole story and doesn't recover in time to help out in the final battle, Morph takes Jean's form and urges him to heal quicker by declaring his love for him. Hell even Scott encourages him to get better for Jean's sake, perhaps a wink and a nudge to what Hickman insinuated with the three?
Xavier and Eric's little mental rehab was majestically written, the show was always good at taking the worst soap opera turns of the comics and improving upon them. This was a better resolution to Fatal Attractions than actual Fatal Attractions.
Rogue, Charles, Hank, Eric, and Kurt ending up in Egypt has me thinking about a few things, perhaps we could get Rogue and Magneto's relationship culminating in the conception of their son from the Age of Apocalypse event, 'Charles' and since it's a time travel season, it ends up either being the start of his line or Charles himself? Imagine the show making Charles Xavier's dad...
Ah, and the mid-credits all but gurantees we'll all 'remember it', Gambit on his way back as Death, Horseman of Apocalypse
And a brucie bonus...Peter finally found Mary Jane.
