Awwww I was hoping it was another parody like on Old Hive. Those were legendary. Mind you what is there left to parody? PS as I've said before it's a bit uncomfortable aging up Ian Marter on the cover when the poor guy died in his 40s.
Meanwhile Camile can marry me any time she wants.

Is it just me who thinks it's weird that they're using characters like Harry and the Third Doctor whose actors have been dead for decades? Might just be me but it feels a bit obscene

I have to agree. We're already at a point where they're doing stories where all the original actors are dead (the season 7 audios). It just boggles me tbh. The whole original appeal of BF was to hear these beloved actors recreating their roles. Now it's mutated into this graverobbing.

I find it tasteless to make an actor look an age he never actually got to.

On a general note, is anyone really gonna buy this? Is this what anyone wants? Colin Baker, a dead Ian Marter, Jackie Tyler and...Lady Christina?? It's just so absurd. I do like the idea of Big Finish, in that old Doctors and companions get to reprise their roles in new stories and have a good time; it's like a digital retirement home almost. But they jumped the shark long ago, and I feel that the original purpose behind Big Finish has been scrambled or forgotten entirely.

I feel bad for the writer of this story having their work published when almost no one is going to buy it, because regardless of how good a story it is, it just feels thrown together no matter what because of the shopping list of old companions and Doctors thrown together. I'd never want Big Finish to collapse, because like you say it's a nice thing for all involved to hang out with their old friends and I'm sure there are still some gems. (I'm getting some for Christmas. Mark Gatiss' versions of Dracula which look great. He's in his element when doing a gothic horror and he makes a brilliant vampire too like in Being Human.) Still they have just become so tacky and silly the way they keep throwing characters together for the hell of it. Honestly how the f*ck can Jackie Tyler have now met all the classic era Doctors? As I've said before she's not as big a person in his life as the Brig and bigger than Rose! She was only intended to be just a minor supporting character.

I guess because Camille Coduri is always available these days

This is like an AI generated story. Or even worse its like randomly chose the name of a Doctor, a companion, and a NuWho character and made that a story.
You can have too much of a good thing and this goes for Big Finish. It would have been better for us, as classic fans, if they gave us one original animation a year using voice actors than put out literally 1000s of stories. When you make this much stuff the quality goes down, and this just shows us.

There's not much of a viable audience anyway so they might as well get the most of it by pumping out cheap, pure now, throwaway novelty dross.
