Well, Blu-ray sales are down. The BBC might as well give "Doctor Who: The Autumn Collection" a go...

My woman would be so Eighties that the colour of her piss would be in neon. We need to do a series together set in the 80s about a blonde, Elizabeth Shue type woman fighting monsters that's an homage to 80s horror/fantasy movies at some point. Obviously that won't be for a while though given my back catalogue. Oh also Henshin again when we're both done with our own things, we need to get back to our one that was a love letter to 00s genre shows and things. I'm actually using our lead character from that in another thing set before it. (PS everyone that had an Asian babe too.) If an 80s Elisabeth Shue was the Doctor the ratings would shoot up quicker than my penis.

When you watch Adventurers in Babysitting, that's far more of a female Doctor than Jodie the way she gets on so well with the kids, and is supposed to be the reasonable adult, but is secretly one of them. Again though I still wouldn't cast her as there is still the barrier of "imagine that is Hartnell."

In another reality Doctor Who was revived in the 90s by John Carpenter as a terrifying, adult horror series.
This was its theme tune.
Tim Curry was the Doctor
And this was his companion.
Honestly I want to jump into that universe instead of the one where the BBC for some inexplicable reason thought the Queer as Folk guy was the best person to revive it. (Nothing says DW credentials more than a pornographic, misogynistic dreary soap opera with outdated, and offensive stereotypes of gay men as bitchy sexual predators.) And the Salford Binman doing a bad impression of RTD/Angel/Xena. (Which even HE thought was shit hence he'd rather tank his career than do another series of it.)

Painful, isn't it? As much as I have to come to despise ALL revivals at this point, on paper there was - and still is - no reason why Who couldn't have come back and be made properly. But we all neglected to take into account the egos and general unprofessionalism of today's TV "creatives" (and I use that word with great sarcasm, as there's nothing creative about them).
