No official announcement yet, but apparently Season 15 is the next Blu ray set and is coming in Feb, so it should be soon, according to Caprona. Do the announcement soon BBC, so at least we've SOME good news for anniversary month.

I guess they're keeping 7, 11, 13 for later to end on a high note?

It was always going to be a 70s next, and Pertwee was the last one of that decade so Tom next and Hinchcliffe is already overrepresented. 15 is the weakest Williams, but still better than most other seasons (and all of New Poo obviously). I wouldn't really call 11 a high point, personally. Mid at best.

I have a strong preference for it because I really liked Pertwee and Sladen together. More so than Pertwee and Manning. I think it was Sarah's best season too, her reporter background was well suited to the UNIT era.
Plus, Time Warrior, Invasion of the Dinosaurs and especially Planet of the Spiders are stories I greatly enjoy

You'll be lucky. At the moment we seem to be down to two a year (without the Covid excuse) and I suspect 6 will be the next one after 15.

I like S15 more than most, so I'm getting it.
Admittedly, Underworld is pretty weak and should've been a 2 parter, And Invasion of Time is a mess, particularly Eps 4 to 6. But I'm fine with the other 4 stories. Especially Fendahl, Fang Rock, and Sunmakers. Invisible Enemy is a bit weaker, but still ok in my book.

I really like Fang Rock and especially The Sun Makers, which is one of my favourite Fourth Doctor stories. Mainly for being tonally a precursor to Holmes's Blake's 7 scripts (it even has Michael Keating in it!), and because I ship Leela and Cordo so much. I love how impressed she becomes with his bravery over time. In my mind, she stayed there instead of Gallifrey. Fang Rock is an ok Hinchcliffe horror story. Perfectly fine. Fendahl is shit. Did nobody script edit this? No coherence, no logic, nothing. Just Boucher pulling plot points out of his arse. I guess the skull is cool. And Denis Lill doing a weird accent is kind of funny. Underworld has a strong premise, but is just kind of tired and dull. Invasion of Time is mainly worth it for Tom's hamminess.

I watched the new Graham Williams docu today.
The first third or so was a bit dull frankly, as his earlier career was solid, but fairly unremarkable. But when it got to the Who stuff it was more interesting, even though there wasn't a lot of anything new to learn on his era. I found the last couple of chapters about his death and the aftermath very sad. I really felt for his family. A suicide is such a terrible thing to go through for those left behind, Few people could not be moved by that. But the amount of shit he had to put up with, not just from Tom who was frankly an arsewipe at that time; but things like having to direct Nightmare of Eden after Alan Bromley walked off set; and dealing with excruciating budgetary problems in a year when inflation was 22%, sending costs spiralling, but no extra budget.... I can see why he resigned, although the BBC did not behave well. They really should've given him a different position after the amount work he put into the show throughout his era, often having to do several jobs at once. I thought the Lost in the Woods chapter was a very poignant explanation of why he might've committed suicide. He was clearly a very troubled individual underneath what was by all accounts a very pleasant and charming exterior. So quite a sad docu, but that's what happened so I was glad at least to see that there's finally been some sort of proper recognition and tribute.

Btw, the new Louise Jameson interview is a delight. She's such a lovely person. Genuine, funny, intelligent, and perfectly self-aware. Class.

Can't believe she's in her early 70s now. It's odd that going through her career, they talked about an obsure horror cheapie that she did in 1972, called Disciple of Death, (erroneously referred to as a Hammer Horror) and yet they don't mention the 1979 series: The Omega Factor, which was much better. Incidentally, Disciple of Death is on YouTube. It's a shit Mike Raven film, but you can see Louise around the 20min mark.
