Maybe not do much now but definitely yes. The people in charge of the show and the media all dance to the same tune these days. Like RTD and Chubbs, their all weedy little arse lickers who stick up for eachother until it's convenient not to.
They stood by the Jodie era right up until it was impossible to do so, and even then they won't fully admit they were wrong either, because then they look like the c*nts they are.
They wil do the same for RTD, but it's clear the veneer of solidarity is still cracked given the BBC let a bad review slip through the cracks.

The media is one big slap on the back fest these days, that's why.

I think so. I'm currently stuck in a queue to stick my tongue up Russell's bum. A writer for the Telegraph is in front of me with a very big smile on his face. He must be excited!

To answer the question, there are many different reasons. To look cool and trendy and "with it" or simply to maintain a reputation. I think some people enjoy the big cheque they get in the post...

YES, look at this review of that absolute abomination I sat through tonight.
“The Star Beast” is an unabashed homage to heartwarming 1980s escapism such as ET – with a thoroughly modern twist on gender identity."

The right wing papers tend to be the worst because they try to have it both ways - trying to stay 'in' with it in case it remains a supposed cultural trendsetter whilst being the first to put the boot into everything else that they deem 'woke'!
