I find it difficult to imagine myself watching Season 1 of New New Who especially if Russell is in charge. I'm only watching the specials for the classic content, what little there seems to be of it. I'm not sure I can stomach a full series again. If a six minute minisode is that egregious I dread to think what a fifty minute one would be like.

I wouldn't have done it even without the whole Davros thing. Mainly because Ncuti comes off like a strutting peacock every time I see him. And I'm just tired of how lazy the franchise is. There's way better content out there, and I'm not obliged to follow Doctor Who forever.
I'll watch those Tennant specials for the nostalgia, but after that I'm out unless something really catches my attention.

No. I was already having massive doubts about Ncuti and his era as it sounded pretty bad and he seems - irrespective of seeming like a bit of a weirdo in real life - like he cannot play anything but campy gay best friend and that's not my idea of a Doctor, but I did think I'd give the specials a go and maybe - big maybe - even Xmas if they didn't suck too much. Though that was before Davies proudly gloating that he wouldn't be decanonising the Timeless Children and even plans to reference it in the specials. And now... no. I've not only unsubscribed from D+, I've deleted the app from my telly. I've also unsubscribed from most Who YT channels.
I just don't even want to know about New Poo anymore. I don't want to know what level of woketardation RTD has sunk to next, or what massive dump they've taken on real Who now. Tell me when the next collection set is out, and otherwise just leave me alone. I cannot be arsed with any of it anymore.

Tell me when the next collection set is out, and otherwise just leave me alone. I cannot be arsed with any of it anymore. Sorry to hear that. I suppose taking the piss out of the new series is easier once you divorce it from the programme which preceded it. As far as I'm concerned, they're not really taking a dump on the real series. They think they are, but they're only taking a dump on their perception of it as being part of their catalogue (a perception which is on shaky ground as it is).
The original series stands on its own, and any retroactive edits made by those with lesser artistic and creative integrity have no bearing on the works and thought-processes of prior writers. Quite the contrary: They only reify the paucity of ideas left by said lesser artists.
When I re-watch The Daleks, The War Games, Season 7, The Deadly Assassin, Caves of Androzani, Revelation, Remembrance, Fenric etc, I don't linger on the rubbish which came afterwards but instead admire the ingenuity, earnestness and intelligence on display. And, on occasion, admire the considerable chasm between Holmes, Dicks, Nation, Houghton, Hulke, Adams etc and the vacuous media personalities who self-congratulate themselves as "Doctor Who writers".
They have no agency or say on what constitues as genuine Doctor Who. The writing speaks for itself. Don't let them win!

I'm going to watch it, probably enjoy it too. Always have time for Russel.
Tales of the TARDIS and lines like "the timelines and canon are rupturing" are all I need to accept or dismiss something in Doctor Who at leisure. It'll all be fine. It all matters until it doesn't,

After Fathead's self-aggrandizing, deluded drivel and agenda pushing, plus the blatant bull shit he pulled with Davros, it's pretty clear that's what's coming will be utter shit on par with the Jodie era if not worse.
So f*ck it I ain't watchin.

Absolutely not. Whilst my love for classic who was reawakened this year, I still disassociate it from new who. Both are different universes it's as simple as that and RTD hilariously has just given me more ammunition with his bullshit about Davros.
I'm not going to watch the specials either. Will not have Neil Patrick Harris on my screen under any circumstances, and honestly I could care less about making everything as it was back in 2008 anyway. I also despise the Doctor regenerating back the way. If I still cared that would be as destructive as a female Doctor to the flow of the incarnations. Typical f*cking New Who, it has to get it wrong both ways. On the one hand they make regenerations too distinct from one another, by making out they are literally different people and having the Doctor turn into a woman so you can't imagine it's all one story, but on the other they've ruined how special each incarnation was in the real world by having the same guy play two versions.
Only new who I'm going to bother with are the odd Big Finish stories that peak my interest.

It's a yes for me.
I appreciate that this places me in the minority, but I want this to be good.
Additionally, placing me into the minority (yet again), I actually enjoyed the RTD era.
Yes, i'm looking at this through rose tinted (no pun intended) spectacles.
But, not without realising this could be a bait and switch situation. A part of me knows I will be disappointed.
Gosh i'd love to be wrong.

I'll possibly watch his first or second episode, all dependent on how much it annoys me.
If he starts acting like a moronic condescending pillock in his opening moments like Jodie then I'll be turning off.

Hang on- who voted twice?

“There have been 11 votes by 10 voters”. Hang on- who voted twice? It's the BBC fixing the figures again, getting two employees to log in anonymously and vote 'Yes'!
