I love how the diverse casting doesn't actually do anything but take credit for a white man's accidental work

I didn't realise until now that it was Julian Bleach playing Davros. That's neat.

I think the thing that bugged me was it was just....... nothing. I mean it wasn't atrocious, but it was just kind of a jokey plot, with some member berries thrown in (he said Genesis of the Daleks on screen.)
It had been hyped up as this huge lead into the 60th and so on and it was just nothing. It looked like a little spoof you'd see in DWM, a doodle. I also felt that was Julian Bleach's weakest performance, but then again he was playing it as a comedy character.

I was wondering it's been years since I listened to them, but did it undermine and contradict the Big Finish Davros origin stories?

So apparently RTD has come forward and said it was *not* intended to be comical, but is an actual serious part of the canon.
What... the f*ck

So apparently RTD has come forward and said it was *not* intended to be comical, but is an actual serious part of the canon. What... the f*ck He also said he took Davros out of his wheel chair because he felt that it was a bad trend to associate disabled people with evil. Okay Russell first things first. Davros' look was inspired by the Mekon. Neither were meant to evoke disabled are evil. (The Mekon is in a hover chair because his brain is too big his body can't support it. Davros was meant to evoke that, whilst also making him half human/half Dalek. Second having an evil disabled character does not mean someone is saying all disabled people are evil. Furthermore a lot of the time villains are often disabled because they are meant to have been crippled in wars. It's to show that they have been in conflicts and are still going on, like Magnus Greel. Finally, again big talk from a guy who used to call critics Ming Mongs and tried to associate being disabled and autistic with being a saddo loser. Also again NPH. Why does he insist on going down that rabbit hole?

I said that Missy was a disaster that set a bad precedent as if you can do that to as big a character as the Master, then no icon is safe, and I was right. Look at the other icons that have been trashed to a greater extent since?
I said that a female Doctor would be a disaster that would sink the show as it was too jarring from the 13 men before, and would lead to the Doctor unravelling as a character. If he can go from Hartnell to Whittaker then there is no justification for not doing literally anything and I was right, hence the Timeless Children.
I also predicted that New Who would not stop at a female Doctor. It would become a competition to have the first gay Doctor, the first black Doctor and I predicted that they would retcon it that the first Doctor was a black woman in 2017. I said pushing the no canon law was bad, and that ironically it led to the worst of both worlds as on the one hand you focus on continuity to rewrite it, alienating new viewers, yet you also alienate your fans who get those references by taking a piss on them. I was right.
I said pandering to one side of the fandom, even if I like people in that side, is a bad idea as then the show becomes too niche, I was right. (And I'm not talking about having LGBT characters or non white characters btw, I mean pandering as in doing stories that focus more on the current thing.)
I said all of this things would sink the show and they brought it to its lowest viewers in 60 years and saw New Who axed.
I've also said RTD returning is creative bankruptcy and that the Fitzroy Crowd want to smear themselves over everything in the shows history and well based that episode tonight and some other recent developments I was right again.
This is me right now and I don't care.

I miss when the Doctors all hated each other's guts and felt they were the definitive version

"I was a brilliant woman" Oh f*cking please, the arse-kissing in this era couldn't be stronger The funny thing is he kept saying after going on about being a brilliant woman "why did I get this old face, why this old face." That's because that ehm "brilliant" woman dragged the shows viewers down to barely above 2 million and drove away its fans.

What... the f*ck At least Chibnall was a coward and only really used the canon-destroying stuff to stay in the favour of the BBC as a mediocre talent who was only really given the job because no one else wanted it. RTD is actively spiteful and willing to go so much further.
