Matt Smith is a notorious ladies man, though he may have calmed down now. Admittedly his Doctor did sometimes reflect this, but to be fair that was called out at the time by the woke mob as being completely inappropriate for the Doctor and ruining the show, there was a wave of criticism directed at Moffat, the STFU Moffat crowd that was every bit as big and politically motivated as the NotMyDoctor crowd (and that ironically guys like Mr Tardis became "famous" by being part of.)
Meanwhile a lot of the young straight male fans didn't mind and enjoyed Matt being a ladies man and were annoyed when the Doctor became gay and trans as they lost their role model.
On the other hand these same people who crucified Matt's Doctor for being too sexualized, the LGBT activists and their shills like Mr Tardis, now approve of Ncuti picking up party boys like Rogue.
In both cases it's the same thing of people not wanting to play the Doctor and just wanting to inject themselves into it and I'm not even just talking about the actors, but the fans who both just wanted the Doctor to be their avatar.
It's a childish pissing contest on both sides, let's be honest.
Meanwhile I absolutely would NOT have wanted 11/Clara as a proper sequel to the original, but since I disregard New Who as a proper sequel, as it only works as a loose sequel, or reboot, then yeah 11 and Clara does fit in with his two predecessors and so I can enjoy it that way. Sadly however the trans and gay Doctors still don't even fit in with new who's canon for the first 7 years and undermine its stories, like the Doctor/companion love stories. Now Eccelston could have morphed into Paloma Faith and wanted to shag Mickey instead, or hilariously the Simm Master, a wife beating misogynist could have tripped, banged his head and regenerated into a woman. Hell had he not stopped that regeneration that's what would have happened in Tennant's arms after his abused wife shot him and he said it's always the women!
So yeah even in the context of new who, I have to say that the modern LGBT fans who insist the Doctor be LGBT to represent them are still the imposters and Johnny Come Lately's wanting to smash up and undermine its history for their own representation.
Also whilst Matt may have been guilty of sometimes thinking with his dick when playing it, at least apart from that he had a perfect characterisation and that only happened later, where as Ncuti is awful across the board.
