S7 and 11 are my favourites. Closely followed by 10. I'm aware of Planet of the Spiders' weaknesses, but love it all the same.

I love Planet of the Spiders.
Even the chase sequences, because on a meta level, I love that Pertwee loves them. It's indulgent in an endearing way.
But aside from that, I like how the plot ties in with previous episodes, and the spiders are such delightfully devilish baddies. Plus, it has the BOSS voice actor come back for seconds.

I usually fast forward through the chase scenes. That might be odd for my favourite Pertwee story, but I love the rest of it. Well, apart from Jenny Laird.

I do agree that the Spiders are great villains in terms of how they are acted. I love villains with feminine voices. It's funny because I think everybody thinks of male voices as more gender neutral? For instance the Daleks talk in a masculine voice, but we don't think of them as masculine villains. They are thought of really as genderless, slimy blobs, not an all male race. Even the Sontarans are actually not meant to be an all male race. They are genderless,, but all played by men. It's weird isn't it? I guess we just think of feminine as more distinctive maybe? I suppose in some ways it is more distinctive physically than men, I mean that's why there is a billion dollar beauty industry aimed at woman LOL. Still in terms of voices certainly a lot of people avoid feminine voices for what are still supposed to be nondescript monsters, so yeah I think the Spiders were quite a nice change of pace. (Also it doubles as a nice educational fact, as female spiders are considerably larger and more dominant than the males. I'd almost want to be a spider with that in mind if they weren't so utterly revolting, and the women didn't you know eat the males LOL and the spiders didn't eat disgusting shit covered flies and eat their parents. Honestly why do these disgusting things exist LOL.)
