Hiya my dearest forum Buddies!
It's pur pur pur Platypus here again with another of my BRILLIANT pur pur pur polls!
We're now on the Moffat era! Isn't that so EXCITING!!!?
My egg sack is just pur pur pur positively tingling from thrill of it all my good friends, and I just KNOW you're all going to have such FUN using your three votes to vote for what you consider to be the most crappiest stories!!
The door bell on my habitat has just rung and I think it's my mature friend Derek who's come to visit me with presents of candy and books on the Karma Sutra! Isn't that just SO kind?
I think I need to see if I have any Cheese pur pur pur Pizza left over from last night to give him though, because his eyes are looking kind of hungry, so I best waddle off.
Cheerio chums!

Tough choice as Series 5 is among the finest ever season of DW.
Honestly, however - the finale.
Waaaay to much plot convenience and time travel mechanics that couldn't work, even if applying the show's own logic.
Victory of the Daleks is possibly one of the worst Dalek stories, though the Manhattan two-parter beats it by a smidge.
Finally...hmmmmm....Vampires. Just feels like a left over idea from the RTD era.

I went for Vampires of Venice/ The Lodger purely because they were both so utterly boring, closely followed by the Titlurian 2 part snoozathon. I really wanted to go for Victory of the Daleks for it's sheer moronity and Vincent and the Doctor for it's sheer gush drivel but there's just not enough damn votes in these things.

Tough choice as there are no real stinkers this year, but the Silurian two parter is stupid, the finale great in the first half, but loses its way a bit, and The Beast Below a bit more bland compared to the others.

Silurian Two Parter/Vampires Of Venice/Victory (Although I think the latter has an interesting concept with the ending of the Daleks getting one over compared to Fathead having the Doctor twiddling a few buttons and blowing them all up at the end. it's just let down by the rushed pacing, spitfires in space. power of love defusing a bomb and of course these canutes.) That said, I still find it the only NuWho season that aged fine enough and Smith is probably the best thing to come out of post-89 Who.

Just two for me this time - Victory and the Titlurians one. Considered voting The Lodger too but I don't really mind it that much. Baffled by the unpopularity of Vampires, I've always found it rather jolly...

Victory of the Daleks, Chibnall's Silurian story and The Lodger. Vampires of Venice wasn't far behind, but the three I picked are so unremittingly mundane. Victory gets my top pick on the grounds that Smith's performance also takes a noticeable downturn, despite being fairly consistent throughout the series, not to mention the sheer stupidity of the narrative coupled with the tellytubby Daleks...

Thankfully we're at the point were my memories of nuwho begin to fade. Hungary Earth/Cold Blood - This was just a full on insult to the Pertwee story it's based on. A shallow copy written by old Chinballs himself, is it little wonder that most fans with any working brain cells didn't want him as showrunner. Also furry/scaly bate Silurians with lizard tits... I mean what the f*ck? You want to do sexy lizard people, fine make your own but why radically alter an established classic monster? Somethings gone horrible wrong when Warriors from the Deep is better! The Lodger - One of those stories that I immediately forgot about after watching it, in fact my brain just noped the f*ck out. It's all made even less intreasting with James Corden onto Doctor Who... when did this guy become a thing? It's like he appeared out of nowhere, people are laughing at him and I'm sate their wondering "Who the f*ck are you!" He also attaches himself to a load of stuff he has no busness being involved with, like that failure of a Friends reunion. A true f*cking waste of my time. The Pandorica Opens - It's the same as above really and worse. It's a massive waste of everyone's time as Mofftwat tells one of his empty, complex stories that goes nonwhere and gets fixed by total bullshit. While it would not be for a another few seasons that my illusions about nuwho began to brake, this utter trash was the first knock that would lead to that first crack. It actually baffles my why people think Moffate is a good writer, this is shite, total shite. At least the first 4 seasons and a bit had some kind of logical follow through, they were badly written but this is when the whole Timy-Whimy stuff just got out of control, along with logic. This final is an embarrassment. You know, aside from Smith and his Tardis team, this is when nuwho went from bad to f*cking dire. Yes their are some good episodes here but it's also clear that Mofftwat is more interested in writing his own drivvel.
