Leaked by one 'Roger K Barret' I heard there's also a rumour that Ian has a secret dungeon beneath Osterley Park, where he keeps every single missing DW story, and even stories from alternate universes too. He has the entire Boris Karloff radio series, Doctor Who Meets Scratchman, Ron Moody's entire run as the Third Doctor, Leonard Nimoy's 90s sequel with Tim Curry (and another one with Alan Rickman.) The third Cushing movie, Disney's film version of Marco Polo, and the Dark Dimension all hidden under there. Pfft! Who gives a shit about them? It's the David Burton series I want to see. C'mon Ian, mate. Stop being a tight git and give us Vienna 1913 already...

C'mon Ian, mate. Stop being a tight git and give us Vienna 1913 already... Just googled that. LOL what a strange story. A possible missing DW story from the 1990s! In Ian's dungeon there is also every episode of the Doctor Omega tv series. In that reality DW was never made as the French got there first and made a tv show based on Doctor Omega in 1958. It ran right the way through to 2018. Pretty incredible run. There's also a version where DW began in the 1990s and another reality where it began as a series of films made by Universal studios in the 1930s. We definitely need to find a way to hack into Ian Levine's dungeon in Osterley Park. I hear though that it is guarded by an insane alternate universe Doctor Who fan. In that reality Paul Cornell became showrunner and pushed his absurd no such thing as canon rule to a greater extent using his usual Bend the Knee tactics on fandom, who were only too happy to embrace their new cult leader. Sadly this led to one impressionable fan applying the no canon law to his every day life. The fan came to the conclusion that all life is meaningless as a result, as once an event happens it no longer exists, and is gone for all eternity, so there is no point in having a consistent personality or morality for that matter based on your past, long gone events. In order to demonstrate this philosophy to the world, he started to adopt multiple conflicting personalities to show why the past/canon doesn't matter. First he became a terrible supervillain and went on a massive crime spree like the Joker and then the next week he became a hero helping to save puppies, then he became the greatest lover in the land, then he became a chaste prude attacking Lady Gaga on forums for being too raunchy, then one week he burned Beatles records, then the next he became such an insane fan of them he tried to clone John Lennon and George Harrison. He was eventually arrested and came to regret his past actions, and in contrast now wanted to adopt a single consistent personality. Ian Levine took advantage of this, telling him that his single consistent personality can be as the guard for his Who collection in Osterley Park and the fan accepted. He now sits in the one position in front of the door beneath Osterley park with his gun, never changing in any way. (He hasn't changed his clothes in over 3 years for instance, with many arguing he doesn't even need a gun as a result.) Again I'm not sure if there is any truth to this rumor but Gallifrey Reddit seem convinced. Then again they also seem convinced that Missy was actually quite good.

I'm just wondering if Rani's returned the white gym shorts he loaned from Ian Levine yet?

Quite an interesting interview with Ian Levine.
It's long so I'd suggest splitting it up into bits, which is what I'm doing.
His family tree is so vast he is distantly related to Amy Winehouse, Steven Spielberg, Gal Gadot, Billy Crystal and Martin Landau! Honestly the work he's done on it could be a miniseries!

WOW just watched a bit more of it and Ian claims that he knows a collector who has Tenth Planet episode 4, but would rather burn it than let us see it. The guy is a tad eccentric and said he'd only give them it if they gave him a full reconstruction of a Cyberman, but when it wasn't completely right he refused.
Ian also claims another female collector similarly has Marco Polo, but will never release it as she loves having it to herself.
Ian says our only hope for these episodes is that when these people die, they may leave it to friends, though even then he says that some collectors have been known to order they be destroyed. Don't know what these people's problems are, they just seem to love having rare episodes.

Weirdos.
I'd love having the fan adoration that comes from me releasing those rare episodes.

I don't think they'd get much adoration. Ian Levine rescued the original Dalek serial and fans celebrated when he had a stroke. Given how toxic and unhinged this fandom is, I would totally see the appeal of sticking your middle finger up at them all and watching Marco Polo with a nice beer on your own.

Indeed Doctor Who General Wiki made jokes about how Ian's body was wearing a bit fat and how he they hoped he'd have another stroke, called him a village idiot, and outright mocked his discovery of lost episodes. According to Ian, the guy who is hoarding Tenth Planet absolutely despises Who fandom with a vengeance. (Wouldn't it be funny if it turned out that it was he was blocked by GB or something like that hahaha.) I also heard a rumor that I dismissed that someone had Marco Polo and refused to give it back because they hated the BBC and would only give it back when it went bust. If true that could be the woman in Australia that Ian was talking about.

Wait I'm confused, are these stories true or am I out of the loop on the joke.
Still taking the piss out of a guy after a stroke is not cool.

Wait I'm confused, are these stories true or am I out of the loop on the joke. There is a genuine rumour/belief that someone has been hoarding Marco Polo for quite some time. Not sure about 10th Planet Part 4. No matter the size of his ego, glorifying in his health issues is very much below the belt.

Wait I'm confused, are these stories true or am I out of the loop on the joke. Still taking the piss out of a guy after a stroke is not cool. Do you mean the hoarding stories, or the ones about Ian Levine finding lost stories? Ian did rescue the Daleks from destruction and has saved a number of other stories including the Time Meddler. However he's also a controversial figure because he has been known to have blow outs and feuds with other fans. For the record I've always got along very well with him. He even had this to say to me which I found touching. x.com/IanLevine/status/1706981649974476870?s=20Still I won't deny that he has been a bit extreme in some of his other opinions and as seen in this thread he can be a complete drama queen which can be hilarious at times. Still given how toxic the fandom can be it's no surprise. Ian is often used by the fandom elite as an example of the fans we don't want because they make us look unkeeeewll by being so obsessed with it, compared to the young, millennial, female fandom that shows we can get laid because we have plenty of fangirls (well until the female fandom gets too lippy like Claudia LOL.) As for the hoarding stories well I'm not sure, there have been so many accusations thrown around, but Ian is 100 percent convinced that yes, someone is hoarding Tenth Planet episode 4, and that a woman has Marco Polo in Australia. There were also rumors of Power of the Daleks being kept in a school in Singapore. It's quite fascinating, apparently this guy and a few other students all watched Power in 1978. Their teacher would sometimes as a treat let them watch old series in the hall on a monitor, and one of them was Power of the Daleks. Sadly however though the school was identified and investigated, they found no copies of the story, suggesting it was either a lie, or the tapes were thrown out, or perhaps stolen and are similarly being hoarded by someone there. Just goes to show you what unfit custodians of DW the Beeb where. If they'd listened to people like Ian in 1975, they wouldn't have to spend all this f*cking money travelling the world to find these old tapes. The sooner they shut down and the good Doctor goes public domain, the better the show and character will be.
